  “The waitress gave very good service, but the food itself was disappointing. I ordered the ghee rice combo, and the rice wasn’t cooked properly. When I asked for a replacement, they agreed but just reheated the same rice instead didn’t even change the plate. Not worth it at all. If you’re craving authentic Kerala food, I’d recommend trying somewhere else”

  “One of the best authentic kerala restaurant I have ever visited in UK. We were visiting our cousin in Sheffield and had dinner from Grand Kerala. We had Porotta, fish curry, beef curry, beef biriyani, chicken lollipop and everything tasted amazing. I also had the best chaaya , and the kids loved mango lassi and lime juice .The service was commendable, and Lakshmi and her friend made sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend this place if you are a foodie and love Kerala cuisine.”

  “Had a great experience at Grand Kerala. The food was full of authentic Kerala flavours, fresh, and well prepared. The paal porotta, paal kappa and chitti Dum porotta were especially delicious, with great spice and rich taste. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Definitely worth visiting and I’d happily come back again.”

  “We have eaten in about 4 times now and had take away about 4 times. Each time we've mostly ordered the Masala Dosa's and they have been excellent, with just the right portions of masala, sambar and chutneys, and to be honest just as good as any we've had in India and would definitely recommend them. The paratha was also very tasty, as was my daughters butter chicken curry. The mango lassi's are also really nice. We like the atmosphere too with nice Indian music playing in the background.”

  “I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish prepared to perfection and full of flavor. You can really tell that fresh ingredients and care go into each meal. What made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing.The atmosphere was also comfortable and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for tasty dishes and excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming”

  “I visited this restaurant expecting an authentic and enjoyable dine-in experience, but unfortunately it was deeply disappointing. The pothichoru appeared to be reheated food that lacked freshness and quality. It felt as though it had been stored for some time and not prepared with the care one would expect from a restaurant setting. The lemon juice, priced at £4, was particularly unacceptable. It was poorly prepared, lacking even the most basic elements of balance such as sugar or salt. The drink tasted like a diluted mixture with a bitter, unpleasant aftertaste, and certainly did not justify its price. I also ordered idiyappam with chicken, which was equally underwhelming. The dish lacked flavour and did not meet even basic expectations in terms of taste and quality. Overall, this was a very unsatisfactory experience. The food quality, preparation, and value for money were all far below standard. I would not recommend this place based on my visit.”

  “Total disappointment. We came as a group of 6, and 5 of us were served Biryani that was clearly old rice mixed with new. It smelled awful and was definitely not fresh. When we raised the issue, the staff didn't care at all. They were dismissive and insisted it was 'fresh' despite the smell. If you value your money and your stomach, stay away. Rude service and even worse food.”

  “My dining experience at this place was awful. The food was terrible. I ordered a Kalyana chattichor, Pothibiriyani, chicken lollipop and a chattichor. It wasn't nice, and the customer service was terrible; the girls don't care about the clients and are constantly on their phones. For servicing, I had to contact them multiple times. Additionally, the food was unworthy of the cost. They also always serve frozen food. They simply offer us heat. I no longer suggest this restaurant.”

  “I visited Grand Kerala Restaurant in Sheffield yesterday and had an absolutely fantastic experience! We ordered a variety of dishes including King Prawns Tawa Fry, Paal Kappa with Fish Curry, Chattichoru, Porota, Avoli (Pomfret) Pollichath, and Chicken Curry. Every dish was flavorful and authentic, but the highlights for me were definitely the King Prawns Tawa Fry and the Paal Kappa with Fish Curry—both were incredibly delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and attentive, which made the overall experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Kerala food in Sheffield, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

  “GRAND KERALA is an Indian restaurant located in the Sheffield City centre that offers authentic Kerala cuisine. I would give them a rating of 4.5, as they could do with a face-lift to enhance the dining experience. It is about hundred yards away from the car park on Carver Street car park. This place was fairly full when we visited on a Saturday evening, despite dining spaces on both ground floor and first floor. The ambience, especially the lighting could be better, which was a touch dim and too colourful for us. The staff were very friendly and service excellent. They offer an excellent spread of authentic Kerala cuisine. The food was excellent. I wouldn't have hesitated to give 5 stars for the quality of food and the reasonable price. We would be visiting again purely for the quality of the food.”
