Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split, and the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style draws the most comment, mostly negative: it is described as stringy, rubbery and cold, not crispy, with a sauce likened to runny or chunky jelly. Egg fried rice comes close behind, with several saying it has little or no egg and no flavour, and bland recurs for other dishes, including a vegetable manchurian that smelled burned and a roast pork curry with huge chunks of fat. One reviewer found only five tiny strips of chicken in a chow mein and had to ring repeatedly when the order was not ready. Chips and prawn crackers earn credit as the best part of otherwise disappointing orders. Other diners are warmer, praising the biggest ribs they had ever had, a Singapore chow mein and special curry that are always delicious, and friendly, polite staff on the phone and at the counter. One reviewer given a discount for a poor order said they would rather have paid full price for a meal up to standard.

“Had a takeaway last night. Sweet & sour chicken hong kong style. It was diabolical. The meat has never seen a chicken and the sauce was like runny, tasteless jelly. The egg fried rice was inedible. The meal ended up in the bin.”

“Had the past 2 weeks visiting dad at the nearby hospital so eating out was becoming repetitive. Decided on a Chinese meal. Friendly polite person answered the phone to take my set meal for 3 order. Friendly smiley person greeted me....and handed over a pretty heavy bag of food. Safe to say we'll be eating it again tomorrow. I was expecting small ribs but they were the Biggest ribs we've ever had, and tasty too. The rest was all pretty good. A very Decent Chinese takeaway”
