About Magnolia Cafe & Restaurant

On Scunthorpe's High Street, Magnolia Cafe & Restaurant is an old-school café and breakfast restaurant run on a walk-in basis. The extensive menu covers full English breakfasts alongside lunchtime and evening plates, catering to varied tastes throughout the day. Families regularly come here to sit down and eat together, with the format lending itself to relaxed meals rather than quick stops. The restaurant can get busy at peak times, which limits table availability, so arriving early or outside the busiest stretch helps. Counter ordering keeps service straightforward, and the room spans both the breakfast-café feel and a fuller restaurant offering under one roof.

“We really enjoy coming to Magnolia as a family, especially for breakfast. It's always a lovely place to sit down, relax and enjoy good food together. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is consistently good and there's always a nice atmosphere. One of our favourite local places for a family breakfast. We always enjoy coming back! Highly recommended. 😉🍀🥓🍞🥚🍳☕🍽️”

“Some of the staff working there were so rude and impolite. Especially two of them who seemed not to be locals (whose first language might not be English) were extremely rude. One of them just aggressively slid my coffee on the table. Another, when asked where the cutlery were kept, straight away mumbled something rudely and behaved arrogantly. This didn't feel nice at all and made us feel like we were not welcome there. Managers need to take a note of this.”
