  “One of my go to places in cheetham hill for middle east food. The only massive down side is CASH ONLY hmmm wonder why lol Kobedas, mix grills to the fatayers all are amazing and very well priced. Plenty of seating area and also now boasts a dessert shop inside the vendor. The service is always brilliant an the food even better, cannot reccomend this place enough but dont forget your cash.”

  “We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Cheetam Star. The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and bursting with flavour. The service was exceptional, with warm, friendly, and attentive staff who went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely welcome. The restaurant was spotless, inviting, and had a wonderful atmosphere that made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this establishment and am already looking forward to returning.”

  “I came soo far to try the food there.I ordered kobida , Nan and full chicken flavour is average and no one asked for dine in or take away once i place my order.I just sat and wait for my order 2 times i visit the counter at first they said 10 mints then again i go after approximate time they said 10 mints more i sat on internal hall no one came to inform that my order is ready because u can’t hear voice at internal hall they packed my food and i said for dine in.All my order is cold and i said to just warm my food they said we didn’t provide that service.Nan is too thin nd crispy and chicken is over cooked(turned blackish) and inside raw chicken(uncooked) All the staff are really pathetic and they didn’t cooperate with there customers Highly unsatisfied and not recommended totally waste of money”

  “Cheetham star has got to be one of the best at doing what it does,super fresh kebabs cooked to order,friendly service,great portions at a good price, I would not hesitate to return here in the near future to try more of the menu's A great place to pull up a seat ,enjoy some good food,and watch the world go by....   “Cheetham Stars is pretty average overall — nothing particularly special. I was hoping for a proper kobeda, but there are definitely much better places in Manchester for that. The naan and kobeda didn’t feel authentic compared to what you’d expect from a typical Turkish cuisine. That said, the pizza was absolutely spot on — 100% perfect 👌”

  “Cheetham Star served us some of the best Kobeda we've had in recent memory. In addition to the Kobeda, the Wings were also super fresh and tasty. The spice levels were quite low, but the taste and quality of the food overrode that minor negative. The food was very affordable and this will likely be a regular spot for us if we're looking for a delicious and budget friendly meal.”

  “Great food options which range from burgers, pizzas, kobedas, chicken tikka. Two areas within this food place. Does have a more relaxed contemporary feel further inside. Food was decent. Not too keen on sauces. CASH ONLY! Need to sort this out.”

  “Abit on the pricey side for the portion of food and the taste is abit bland. Kobeda was super oily greasy and the naan was small and wafer thin and crispy in the middle - was literally snapping in the middle it was that thin. Why can’t they just make a normal naan with even thickness and softness throughout! Can’t be that hard. Chicken tikka chunks were good sized but considering it was ordered and cooked in under 5 minutes no wonder it was chewy and undercooked. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside - it didn’t get finished. Shawarma - oh my god worst thing so plain ans no flavour at all. Dry and unappetising - with out the sauces this would have been a struggle to eat. Again all the naans were shocking just thick on the edges and millimetre thin throughout the main part of the naan. Chips were nice but they just chips ! £3 chips For 3 naans, chips and 2 drinks the bill was £28 which is too much for small quantity food and not feeling happy after eating. Plenty of seating and tables, clean and parking nearby in Tesco free all the time. Won’t be returning….”

  “Cheetham Star, Manchester – October 2025 Review Cheetham Star has been recommended to me by friends for quite a while, but unfortunately, it suffered a fire some years back and was closed for quite some time due to extensive damage. Recently, I finally had the chance to visit since it reopened. I ordered the Kobeda on naan, which I’ve tried at many places across Manchester—particularly on Wilmslow Road, where I’ve been visiting kebab spots since the 1990s. Back then, Rusholme Chippy was one of the first and most popular Kobeda places in Manchester, although I believe it has changed ownership since those early days. Cheetham Star has been nicely refurbished and has a clean, modern presentation. The food, on my first visit, was very good—the Kobeda had great flavour and texture. However, on my second visit, I was disappointed to find the meat gritty, with tough bits of cartilage, which spoiled the experience somewhat. That said, I would still recommend Cheetham Star and plan to visit again to try some of their other dishes. I’d suggest to the management that they pay close attention to the quality and consistency of the meat—ensuring it’s free from gristle or bone—and that staff taste-test new batches before serving to maintain the high standard expected.”

  “Their kobida with naan was perfect — juicy, well-seasoned, and the naan fresh and just soft enough to soak up all the flavors. The chicken shawarma had that smoky, tender texture I look for, and the chicken tikka with rice was excellent: moist pieces of chicken, fragrant spices, and the rice was fluffy and fragrant.
