Quick info
About Wingstop Rushden Lakes
Wingstop Rushden Lakes is a chicken wings restaurant in Rushden, at Unit R8, with 10 wing flavours laid out on a scale from mild and sweet to the hottest, including the spicy Dragon's Breath sauce. Wings come bone-in, boneless or as tenders, or as a mix of all three, so each order combines a cut with a flavour from the scale. Lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan are among the other flavours on offer. The restaurant is walk-in. Guests order at the counter, where staff ask whether it is a first visit and explain the menu, the flavours and how ordering works. A staff member then brings the food to the table, checks it against the order and returns after the meal arrives to see how things are going. Chips are ordered alongside the wings, and milkshakes are made to order. Churros are on the dessert menu.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most often to the staff welcome, especially for first-time visitors. Several describe a server who asked whether they had been before, walked them through the menu and helped them choose, and one says a staff member checked on the food and chatted afterwards. Another notes a server offering extra sauce for a four-year-old. The food gets steady praise as piping hot, fresh and full of flavour, with the dragons breath sauce called spicy but flavoursome and the chips singled out as especially good. A few call the menu a bit complicated and the price a bit pricey, though one says ordering wings for everyone works out not too bad. The one detailed complaint describes a lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan order arriving as plain, greasy wings sprinkled with pepper, milkshakes that had to be asked for, and replacement wings that were again only sprinkled with Parmesan. That reviewer also reports feeling sick and vomiting later at home, and found the music nightclub-like. One reviewer closes on a server who thanked them and wished them a lovely evening after they cleared their own table.

“As we walked in Richard greeted us as he was wiping down tables. He was friendly and had some banter. He then took our order and he offered us the extras and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. He then brought our food over double checked it was correct and made sure we knew which flavour was which. Even as the store got busier he remained friendly and informative. The kitchen was clearly working efficiently and the food was piping hot and tasty.”

“My boys and I had a fantastic time here today. The menu was a bit complicated but thankfully we only wanted wings for lunch which was plenty. The helpful staff member guided us through the ordering process. It’s a bit pricey but if you’re ordering wings for everyone it’s probably enough and not too bad value. This also gave us a selection of wings to try. What I really enjoyed was a staff member checking on our food and chatting with us afterwards.”

“We’re not just in the wing business, we’re in the flavour business. At Wingstop, you’ll find flavours you simply can’t get anywhere else. Ranging from the mild and sweet to the hottest of the hot, we’ve got 10 unique flavours to choose from. Dive into our wings, boneless, tenders, or a mixture of all three and then simply choose which flavours you want to experiment with – we’ve got something for every taste on our flavour scale. And we’ve now launched Voodoo Fries and our Big Flavour Burger too – it does exactly what it says on the tin. Wash everything down with our milkshakes, Freestyle fizzy drinks or Camden Town Beer, and if you’ve still got room, then check out our churro selection for dessert.”
