About Cafe Bueno

On the High St in Romford, Cafe Bueno is a cafe and brasserie serving breakfasts, sandwiches, pastas, and grilled kebabs under one roof. Full English breakfast comes with a choice of poached eggs, and set menu options pair a main with a drink such as cappuccino or flat white. Orders are taken at the table, with a waitress or waiter coming round rather than a counter queue. It opens daily and takes walk-ins, so no booking is needed. Outdoor seating adds extra space for those who want to eat outside, high chairs suit visits with young children, and dogs are welcome at the tables. A step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance serves visitors with mobility needs. The room itself is roomy, giving the busier periods space to spread out. Indoor seating remains available throughout the day for those who prefer to eat inside.

Customer Review Summary

The complaints are mixed. One reviewer waited ten minutes to catch a server's attention, another noticed tension between two servers that spoiled a breakfast, and one found the owner or manager unsmiling and the music too loud. On food, one diner said the spicy penne and spaghetti carbonara were bland and left uneaten, and another was served a hot cheese panini instead of the cheese baguette on the menu, calling the new menu overpriced. A vegetarian breakfast's sausages drew a note that they should be vegan ones.

“Breakfast was good. Coffee and matcha were delicious. AVOID the steak. Asked for medium and it was super overdone.”

“One of the best cafes in Romford, Brilliant service from Leanne and Radeyah! Leanne was extremely helpful and assisted us with choosing a good table where you can feel the lovely air con, and Radeyah was very polite and had amazing quick service when taking our order, would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who is in the area. Have visited this cafe quite a few times and every time the food has been amazing and the service has been extremely quick. 10/10!! ❤️”

“I asked for a cheese baugette as listed on the menu. What I got was a hot cheese panini. I would have complained. But a friend said that is what they serve as a baugette. This is very poor. A panini in anyones language is not a baugette. I shall not be returning to this cafe. They have just introduced a new menu. It is grossly over priced for a market cafe, some items costing more than a proper restaurent.”

“Service was great the to waitresses were very kind and welcoming. Food m brother had spicy Penne pasta and i had Spaghetti Carbonara both were extremely blend like they haven't used any seasoning at all, spicy penne were not spicy at all not even a bit. Worst pasta we ever had, we left whole plate of food. I wasn't expecting perfection but it was not edible.”
