Customer Review Summary
Curry sauce is the item reviewers raise most, and opinions split on it. One praises it alongside the Singapore chow mein, and another credits the extra hot version as the one thing that sets the takeaway apart. Others call it bland or unlike what they expect from a Chinese. Many longtime customers say quality has slipped. Food arrives cold or dried out, chips are described as solid with a white coating, and one reviewer found the noodles clumpy and reheated. The chicken noodle soup and satay chicken are called flavourless. Several report very long delivery waits, and one received a small portion of chips instead of the large one ordered after an item went missing. Prawns draw complaints too: one describes huge uncooked prawn balls, and another reports falling ill with salmonella after ordering prawn toast. Some call the food overpriced for what arrives. After one complaint call, the person on the phone apologised and offered a credit toward the next order.

“I’ve ordered from Lomomd House regularly for a long time, but tonight was my last. The noodles in my dish were noticeably not fresh—dry, clumpy, and clearly reheated. This issue has happened numerous times which is completely unacceptable and I am very disappointed. I’ve supported this business for years, but ignoring quality issues and loyal customers is where I draw the line. definitely won’t be back”

“Went downhill a lot this Chinese used to be the best from 5 stars to zero stars . Food is very cold and bland the curry sauce and also not great for value for money increasing prices too high not good enough very expensive for what you are getting . I will never use this Chinese ever again !”

“Been going to Lomond House for years and could never fault their takeaways. Had one last night and the quality of it was horrific. The chips were solid to the point you couldn’t bite them and were covered in this white coating on some of them. Curry sauce which I’ve always loved was bland with no flavour. We’ve been coming here for years but won’t be back as I wouldn’t waste my money. Called to complain and the girl on the phone was very apologetic and said she’d put a credit on for us next time.”

“I recently ordered prawn toast from here and have been on the receiving end of salmonella looking at previous reviews from this restaurant uncooked prawns is quite a common occurrence. AVOID !!!!”

“One of my favourite Chinese takeaways. Singapore chow mein is banging as is the curry sauce. If you do decide to order make sure you collect it yourself and don’t be a lazy wee sausage.”
