About Y Bryncynan, Morfa Nefyn
Y Bryncynan is a pub and restaurant on Morfa Nefyn, near Nefyn Beach and the North Wales Coast Walk and under a 10-minute drive from Pwllheli. Dogs are welcome inside and get treats brought to the table, and a children's playground at the pub gives families with young ones somewhere to spend time as well. The kitchen cooks pub dishes, including slow cooked Welsh beef and pork belly, with burgers, pizza and fries alongside and vegetarian options on the menu. Sunday brings a lamb dinner, and the Sunday roast is booked ahead on the website. The bar pours ales, gins, beers and wines. The pub is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roasts draw the most praise here, with reviewers describing a lamb Sunday dinner, tender beef and slow cooked Welsh beef as delicious. Close behind are the staff, called welcoming, attentive and quick even during a busy weekend rush. Others single out the pizza, the burgers and the crispy fries, and one notes plenty of vegetarian options. One reviewer says the menu is smaller since the change over but finds the food quality fantastic, and another mentions a 10% service charge added automatically to the bill. The one clearly negative account concerns a pork belly the diner describes as nearly all fat and inedible. The pub offered a refund on the pork but not the side of potatoes, which went cold, and the diner paid the difference on a replacement main that was eaten after the rest of the table had finished. Reviewers also like the outdoor area and the playground, which a three year old loved. The pub is dog friendly inside, and one group reports treats brought to the table for their dogs.

“We visited the Y Bryncynan, Morfa Nefyn, due to us staying on the campsite next door, the lamb Sunday dinner was the best we've ever had, the service was amazing from the moment we walked in the door we were made to tell welcome by all the staff especially Laura who was very attentive and quick to take our orders, will travel to this part of wales just to revisit this pub, very happy with the food, the service and the atmosphere 😊”

“We were on holiday in the area and was passing so stopped in for lunch. Food was fab (burgers) and the staff was so friendly, pub is lovely too so we decided to come back again a few days later for dinner. The pub is set and surrounded by stunning countryside and the staff cannot do enough for you. Very dog friendly and the playground was a massive hit with our 3 year old.”

“Three of us ate here tonight. I ordered the pork belly with a side of potatos. The pork was pretty much all fat and inedible (see picture). I queried it and they offered a refund on the pork (but not the side dish I ordered with it which then went cold). I reordered another main (and had to pay the difference in cost) which I subsequently ate on my own as everyone else had finished. A bad experience and very poor customer service in dealing with it.”
