  “So I have used this takeaway in the past under the previous owners and it was fantastic. However last night I ordered Singapore noodles, crispy shredded chicken, salt and pepper chips, and sweet and sour chicken balls. Singapore noodles…. Bland and tasteless Crispy shredded chicken…. Rubbery and and tasteless Salt and pepper chicken…. Rubbery chewy and an unpleasant very dark sauce. Salt and pepper chicken….over salted and lacking the normal onion and chilli Sweet and sour chicken balls….. completely inedible, disgusting hard chicken that I was unable to chew, batter thick and heavy. Sweet and sour sauce wasn’t put into our bag. Now I’m not fussy about food at all, in fact I’ll eat pretty much anything but this was the worst takeaway I have ever had, I would of taken it back but I was to far away to walk back. Disgusting and a complete waste of twenty quid.”

  “I do nt really like to diss businesses as its hard enough out there without receiving negativity .....now i m referring to their fish and chips and not their chinese menu....their chips have never been that good in all the time i ve used them small and scratty but the fish was terrible it looked big and long but was so thin could nt believe how thin it was..the edges of the fish welded into the batter making almost inedible the rest of the fish was so thin it was dry and unappealing and it certainly was nt cheap so basically they are ripping off the customer..the fish used to be ok so they have changed the product obviously to get the most profit.. so come happy valley give the customer something they can enjoy cos they re certainly paying for it.”

  “Maybe had an unlucky experience as it was busy - NYE. But only time ever I have had sweet and sour chicken balls that were inedible. 3 or 4 we could eat but v tough. Had to throw two away as I honestly couldn't get surgery through it, rock hard - batter and chicken. Salt & pepper chicken bit harder than usual but edible, taste was nice just firmness too much. Not my fav chow mein I've ever had - generous meat but noodles themselves a bit bland. Probably won't come back but will go to my previous regular, which is a shame as this is super local and I had high hopes.”

  “Been coming for 7 years an was my go to Chinese but lately its not been the best infact I won't be coming again, Forth time I've had food from Happy Valley chippy an it's Absolutely disgusting 🤢. I don't know if they are warming up chips or using cheeper produce but they are rock hard like you could knock a nail in the wall with them😳. The beef chow mein was also not very nice the beef although there is plenty off it its all fatty an chewy, again maybe cheeper produce or new cook 🤔 not sure but it's not the same as it used to be. Such ashame as this was the best Chinese chippy by far.”

  “Just been today as like other reviews, this was our go to Chinese takeaway for years, but it went downhill when new owners took over. Went tonight and it looks like the old owners are back and everything was as great as before. If you were an old customer, I recommend you trying again”

  “Awful food. Chicken balls were hard, chicken chow mein dry & tasted of cold fat. Prawn toast was revolting! Rang to complain we couldn't eat it, the lady said ok it was cooked fresh no problem?? No apology or refund. Waste of £30 odd quid”

  “In a word: DISGUSTING. There was more vegetables than noodles and meat in the chow mein and the noodles were like hairs they were that thin. The ‘crispy’ shredded beef was anything but crispy and was covered in an oily brown water substance that was the opposite end of the scale when it comes to a sauce. The only thing that was edible was the chicken fried rice and the chips, the rest went in the bin and now we’re waiting for pizza. Avoid this place at all costs, you’ll only be as disappointed as I am and you’ll hate yourself for not listening to me.”
