Quick info
About Mash & Barrel
Mash & Barrel is a bar and grill inside Rockley Park, a Haven holiday park, at 120 Napier Rd in Poole. It opens daily, so guests staying on the park have a place to eat and drink on any day of their visit. The kitchen serves breakfast, including big breakfast rolls that come with tea and coffee. Younger guests have their own kids' meals, with pizza and nuggets on that part of the menu. The setting makes it a practical stop for families and groups already based at the park, with the bar and grill format covering meals through the day.

Customer Review Summary
Praise centers on the ribs and chicken, described as moist with meat falling off the bone, plus a chilli beef called nice. One reviewer found the food lush, noting wait times chalked on the bar and updated regularly. Another got starters within minutes, though the kids' meal came with only four nuggets and every colouring pencil was broken. A breakfast of big breakfast rolls with proper coffee outside in the sunshine was called great value.

“Food was inedible at best. Staff disinterested, over stretched and their faces show it. Didn't make the mistake of eating again.”

“Awful. would NOT recommend. ordered 4x loaded fries, chicken wings and chicken bites. All of these foods are deep fried so expected these to come out 20-30 minutes max. Ordered at 8pm and it arrived at 8.50pm (after asking where our food was.) All the food was cold so was clearly just sat there for ages. Then when our food was brought out, our chicken bites were missing. When they were brought out (obviously after asking- again) they were cold (not a shock at all.) Also would like to clarify that the restaurant wasnt even busy so no need for cold deep fried food to take almost an hour. Genuinley would not recommend anyone to eat here, going anywhere else would be an amazing experience compared to this.”

“Waiting over an hour. No sign of breakfast appearing any time soon and half the tables are empty and we are paying top market rates for food here as it’s a monopoly on the campsite.”

“Was unsure about eating here as one of us had a bad experience at another mash and barrel at a different Haven. And of course all the bad reviews. We must have struck lucky. I need to point out though we were visiting at a quiet time of year. Very friendly young bar staff who pointed out the drinks offer we ended up choosing. Food arrived in a very reasonable time with a smile. We were checked on to ensure we were happy with our meals. My Ribs and Chicken dish was lovely. The Chicken was moist and the meat just fell off the rib bones and was very tasty. The Chilli Beef maybe presented a little less appetising but was nice. It's a Haven so I guess the prices were as expected and of course we guessed a microwave would feature in the cooking, lots of places use this method. Overall though it was a nice meal and saved us cooking after a long drive.”
