  “One of the best restaurants I have been to in a very long time! The food was delicious and was quite clearly very fresh. We had starter dishes to share then had a whole fish. The fish was so fresh and soft. I would just say be aware portions are very generous and the food is so tasty you litrally don't want to leave anything behind. For fresh fish and such generous portions it was also reasonably priced and the service was spot on. I would highly recommend it to anyone that finds themselves in Plymouth!”

  “Visiting and staying in Plymouth - probably one of the best meals we’ve had. We were here at a weekday lunchtime as a party of four, and were able to get a walk in very easily. One of us ordered the two-course lunch menu (very reasonably priced) and the rest ordered off the lunch menu. The standout of our mains was the Fisherman’s Platter - very generous potion of fresh mussels, as well as some pieces of scallop, prawns and a steamed fillet. Highly recommend”

  “The restaurant was extremely busy and even though we booked we had to wait 20 minutes. It was also very loud as people were crammed in. Food was very good but portions enormous so no starter necessary. Wine not chilled.”

  “A really busy vibrant little restaurant. Service was excellent, food delicious and atmosphere relaxed and warm. Would definitely go again. We visited on a Saturday night, make sure you book as it’s popular with locals and tourists.”

  “I went there with a lady friend, 6 pm on a Saturday. We didn't book but had the last available table in the restaurant.(it was a bit tired with paint peeling off in places) it was in the corner by windows which were running with condensation. This was our first visit and it was ridiculously busy and very warm. The staff were run off their feet, so consequently there was a long wait between drinks, meal, bill etc. I don't blame them, manager should look at staffing levels. Every available space was filled with tables and chairs,so much so that I was knocking into people on my way to the single toilet for men that had a queue. However when the meals arrived the starter and mains were excellent and generous portions. My friend had eaten seafood all over Europe, but said "the octopus was the best she had ever had" high praise indeed. I had three pints of Estella lager, my friend had two glasses of house white, they changed the wine on her second glass which was not so good. We wondered if that was intentional or they just ran out of the good stuff. Generally I would recommend the restaurant and go again but not on a busy Saturday.”

  “Had an absolutely lovely experience. The waiting staff were attentive and very sociable. The mussels and chips from the lunch menu were amazing. £16.95 for two courses is good value. Only thing I would say is that it’s quite loud and hard to hear conversation with people on your table but that’s no fault of the restaurant.”

  “Fantastic quality, quantity and value for money food. Absolutely delicious and highly recommend. The 2/3 course menu specials are amazing value. Sorry.I had to reduce your star rating as we returned for another meal and was a bit disappointed. I ordered a dish with king prawns , scallops and fish in a cream sauce. I did not realise it was going to be so rich and drowned.All the flavors of the beautiful ingredients. It came with salad, which was a bit strange as the sauce was very hot, it should have been vegetables. Such a shame to waste such a beautiful amount of ingredients. In my head , I thought there would be a little bit of sauce . We wanted to have a dessert, but the waitress was too busy to see us in the corner, and we left . Next time, I will go for grilled fish and vegetables, keep it simple.”
