  “This is a tiny traditional pub but the landlord & staff were really friendly and helpful. The menu was small but the food was fantastic & great portion sizes. Well worth a visit.”

  “Wonderful food and service. Welcomed from the onset. The staff could have not been more accommodating as we sat at the back in the sunshine as we had our bikes but still received the same service as those in the restaurant. Best lasagne I have ever had (I eat lasagne everytime I go out so some accolade). Steak and ale pie was melt in the mouth: just like grandma used to make! You really won't be disappointed. Thank you to all the staff.”

  “A very welcoming pub in a lovely setting by a church with very well kept ale & excellent food. The landlord was very friendly & attentive to everyone & the wood burning stove added to the ambience. I had a chicken breast in white wine & bacon sauce with a huge portion of vegetables including sprouts & parsnips. My only complaint is all the veg were on the hard side which was fine by me though wouldn't suit everyone though I would concur on the boiled potatoes. The treacle sponge pudding with custard was outstanding & one of the very best I've ever had. Both food & drink was very good value. If I lived around there I would be a regular visitor & I would work my way through the whole menu!”
