Customer Review Summary
Reviews split on the sauces. Several takeaway customers say the chicken tikka masala and the chicken tawa came out watery, with one describing the tawa as like soup and another calling the masala tasteless next to the thick, creamy version they know from Birmingham. One reviewer found the food bland and average, and another says the restaurant felt quiet and staff seemed to want diners to leave. Praise centers on the fish, with one first-time visitor enjoying three different fish dishes that were all tasty, and a group of eight staying in a holiday cottage was delighted with the quality and volume of their delivery and its speed. Others call the food excellent and the service first class, and one recommends booking a table after several visits. A birthday celebration is also described as fantastic. Smaller complaints include a confusing delivery charge on an order just over the stated threshold, and one takeaway customer found the poppadoms missing at home after a counter worker did not look up from a calculator to return a thank you.

“Been ordering from JP for a while. Always thought their sauces were a bit wet. Ordered a takeaway tonight. Not joking, the chicken tawa was like soup. Not worth eating. Shame. Won't order again.”

“Sadly the food was so average. The restaurant was quite and staff were obviously wanted us to leave. Would be better to eat in Worcester! We will try again in another month hopefully it will be much better! Please be better!”

“Went in to order takeaway. On the way out I said thank you, the bloke couldn’t be bothered to look up from his calculator and speak. Tried again with ‘have a good weekend’ and the same response!! Got home, pappadoms missing! Needs to be better than this….”

“I rarely treat myself anymore so was super sad to get such a disappointing meal. The service was quick and food was hot. I ordered my usual chicken tikka masala - being from Birmingham I am well used to a good curry and the staple, thick and creamy masala sauce of a CTM. However This was watery and tasteless - so disappointing as it is such a popular one to ‘get right’.”
