  “Rather than go to a chain or busy pub for a birthday celebration I stumbled across this little gem. Based on the reviews I picked here for a family meal for my wife’s birthday. It felt calm and relaxed the moment we came in and were so pleasantly greeted by our waiter. Music was great, not too loud but great tunes. We picked mussels/paté & olives for starters, pork pockets/pheasant/salmon for mains. Wow! The pork was perfect-the mash piping hot until the last bite - the pheasant was cooked beautifully with a fantastic flavour and the salmon was equally as good. Our waiter took real genuine attentive care of us and watching him interact with other guests was a real pleasure. It’s easy to over look good quality, passionate local businesses as you just go for what/whom you know but I’m genuinely really impressed. The starters, mains, deserts & 2 rounds of drinks for 3 adults came to about £175 - it was worth every single penny for fresh, delicious food with 1st class service - thank you for a lovely, memorable evening.”

  “Stunning Sunday lunch! £16.99 for a roast dinner, choice of 4 meats and we got heaps of veg and cauliflower cheese too! Really polite and friendly staff. We pre-booked and sat outside in the lovely sunshine overlooking the park. We will definitely be visiting again to try the main menu. Lovely food. Really recommend!”

  “Loved the food and the exceptional service. Our server was so hospitable and quick to serve us. The food was so amazing and I especially enjoyed the pizza. However, two things I was a bit weirded out by was that the women's restroom door was constantly left open and right behind our table, so it was quite unpleasant to eat by it, and the fact that the server left her tip (11%) already on our receipt was quite surprising after we left the restaurant lol. 😅 We weren't used to any severs doing this, but since we had already paid and left and were indeed satisfied with her quality of service, we didn't bother bringing it up in the end, but felt like this should be noted..🤔”

  “I’ve eaten here on a number of occasions, big and small. The staff are always inviting and I’ve never had a bad thing to say about the food. Very tasty and portions are good! Although a small team, they always make me feel like family whenever I visit. Tucked away like the hidden gem of Paignton. Very nice”
