  “I'd normally give 5 stars to Cucina. Food beautiful and service usually good. Today we had a booking for late lunch, we saw at least 3 tables for 2 people outside, we asked to be seated outside, we were told there was none. We thought probably they were already reserved. We had to seat inside next to a family celebrating something and obviously being a little noisy, as we would expect when a celebration goes on. We couldn't really talk much as couldn't hear each other over the noise, all the while the three tables outside remained empty. We finished our food and left. The 3 tables for two outside still empty. We went for a browse, for a dessert and some shopping and passed the restaurant again, the same 3 tables still empty. My question is why? Why deny us the pleasure of eating out in this glorious weather. Clearly the tables were not reserved or used at all. Please explain.”

  “Met up with friends here. The food is excellent, great choices of Italian food. The service is excellent, this is a large restaurant, and it was busy, but the staff are hard workers and attentive so the whole evening went smoothly. For such a nice restaurant, the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended. Can't wait to return.”

  “We were a table of 8. Booked on a Saturday afternoon for dinner and could get a 9:30 reservation only. Ordered various starters, all yummy. Especially the calamari. Ordered various pastas, all yummy. Especially spaghetti alle vongole. Calzone was a bit burnt. Finished our main courses at 10:45 and didn't have time for dessert.”

  “We went here while in Oxted ,and managed to get a walk in. The restaurant was busy but comfortable, not too noisy , great food and drink. The staff are excellent, very polite, and attentive. Great value too. A quality Italian restaurant. Molto bene 👌”

  “Couldn't have enjoyed a sunshine lunch on their terrace any more if I'd been in Italy! The staff were super friendly & professional, accomodating & caring enough to offer a spot in the shade (no thanks!) and the set lunch menu was delicious and excellent value. All in all, can't wait to return. Grazia!”

  “A true taste of Italy in the heart of Oxted! We enjoyed every moment and every morsel of food for my Husbands birthday last night. We were raving about it all the way home as one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The staff are all so lovely too and make this gem somewhere we will be sure to revisit again and again! We can’t wait to try everything on the menu! Thank you all for such a wonderful introduction to your lovely restaurant. If you are thinking of booking here, do not hesitate!”

  “We had lunch at the cucina Italian restaurant on a Sunday. This is a very charming restaurant with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. We opted for the Sunday menu, that includes a starter and main for 17.95£. It was a good deal with quite few options to choose from the menu. The food was generally tasty, except the linguine pesto lacking seasoning and the penne pollo being slightly overcooked. The service was attentive and efficient. There is a service charge of 10%. This is a busy restaurant so is advisable to reserve a table. Highly recommended.”

  “Dining at this restaurant was an absolute delight. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, beautifully decorated with just the right touch of elegance and comfort. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and provided attentive, knowledgeable service throughout the evening. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, each crafted with care and creativity.   “Very very good food indeed. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. Fantastic pizza and pasta selection. Very friendly staff, especially towards children! Only reason for the lower points is that the baby changing is in the female toilets. 21st century!! This needs to change!! What if I was out alone with the children! Doesn’t take American Express, has high chairs. Delicious food.”

  “We went to Gucina on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch after swimming. Although we had no prior reservation the staff were lovely and polite and we were sat promptly. It was pretty busy so definitely recommend to book ahead of time. The menu is rich with starters, pasta, pizzas and more and they have a children’s menu, too. My partner ordered the vegan pasta, I had margarita pizza and our little one had tomato sauce spaghetti. It was all delicious and very authentic. There are a few vegan options, but it’d be great to see a few more plant based meals. We’ll definitely come back again.”
