  “I came for a meal with my son. Everything was delicious, from the starters to the mains. Everything is prepared fresh and on site. This gem is truly amazing. This is the 4th time eating here. Will definitely be back.”

  “A lovely find in the centre of Croydon. A really charming place, with great attention to detail, and staff who make you feel right at home – not to mention their pinsa. We had the chance to try the ‘Boscaiola’ (with mushrooms and Italian sausage) and the ‘Salerno’ (with friarielli and nduja). Both were delicious. But the biggest surprise was the dessert, a delicious tiramisu: you absolutely must try it – and take it from a pastry chef who holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest tiramisu!”

  “Me and my wife came here for dinner and wasn’t disappointed. The vibe and food felt very authentic and nothing like a popular high street Italian pizza place 👀. We had the continental meat board to start which the waiter kindly told us what all the meats were and for main the wife had a lovely Roman pinsa and I had the carbonara. All freshly done. Litterally watched them make it from scratch. Wife was very impressed with the flight of wines too. Only drawback is I wanted more on my plate because it was so nice. Reasonably priced fo a nice meal in an intimate setting. The decor felt like I was on holiday and not in Croydon so for that I’m super impressed.”

  “Absolutely terrible experience. The pizzas were shockingly skimpy for the price, with such a small amount of topping that it felt like corners were being cut at every opportunity. For a restaurant charging these prices, the portion sizes are frankly embarrassing. What was even worse was the attitude of the staff. When we asked a simple question about the portion size, instead of receiving a reasonable explanation, we were met with sarcastic and rude responses. There is a difference between confidence and arrogance, and unfortunately the service here fell firmly into the latter. Poor value, poor service, and a complete lack of customer care. There are plenty of places serving better food with staff who know how to treat paying customers with basic respect. Now I can understand why there were barely any people in the restaurant. If this is how customers are treated and this is the quality and value being offered, it's no surprise people are staying away. I certainly won't be returning and would not recommend it.”

  “Had a brilliant time wine tasting at Basil & Grape yesterday. Fabrizio and the team were welcoming, really knowledgeable and led us through some delicious pairings of cheeses, wines and cold meats. Would highly recommend!”
