About The Corryvreckan
The Corryvreckan is a pub in Oban at Unit 1, beside the ferry terminal and near the bus station, with views over the harbour. Wood fills the interior, and the floor space is large. Nets over the outdoor area stop seagulls pinching food, which matters for anyone eating there while waiting on a ferry. The menu runs from fish and chips and burgers to a spicy chicken pizza, with breakfasts and combos also listed. Guests scan a QR code to order food on their phones, while drinks are ordered and paid for at the bar. The pub works on a walk-in basis. Toilets are on the ground floor.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food and its wide variety, naming the spicy chicken pizza and cheesy potatoes, a burger and a fish dish, with combos and portions that one parent compares to a buffet. Close behind is the room itself, described as huge and deceptively spacious, with a harbour view one reviewer ranks above any other Spoons they have visited, outdoor seating with nets to stop seagulls pinching food, and toilets several call spotless or notably clean. Several find the staff friendly and quick, and the scan to order system is credited with keeping a rammed Saturday night moving. One reviewer notes the crowds make it noisy and a bit messy. The recurring complaint is service speed and temperature. Three reviewers say their food arrived warm rather than hot, including French fries, and one watched several servers walk past their plates sitting in the pick up window. Another found most servers aloof and cold, with staff unhelpful when a couple of customers reported problems with their orders.

“Food and drinks were decent but what can you expect for Spoons. Deceptively spacious inside - enough room for everyone. Nice area to sit outside in the sun and they have nets to stop seagulls pinching your food. Only letdown really was that the service wasn't great. Most servers (bar one) were totally aloof and cold. Also observed a couple of people reporting issues with their order and staff were less than helpful in trying to resolve them.”

“My visit was quite enjoyable. The establishment, conveniently located near the Oban bus station, was easily accessible. The atmosphere was welcoming and spacious, enhancing the overall experience. I found the spicy chicken pizza and cheesy potatoes flavorful, complemented well by the beer 🍻. Service was prompt, and the cleanliness of the facilities was notable ✨. The interior provided a comfortable setting 🍕. Highly recommended.”

“A place with a wide selection of dishes, drinks and quick service. Combos available. It’s a safe option for a casual lunch at a budget price. Very popular and crowded on times, and because of that it can be noisy and a bit messy. Still, they are very efficient due to their scan to order system. Recommended.”

“Food is usually really good. This time we sat and watched several servers walk by our plates in the pick up window. We got our food and it was still good, just not hot. French fries need to be served hot. My husbands burger was good, so was my fish. I didn't want to send it back and wait longer. Still a great place, this location just needs quicker table delivery.”

“We were here just for beers. They have a QR code for menus but the beers on table menus weren't online to order. It's easy and acceptable to just go to the bar to order drinks and pay. It looks like they have good breakfasts. We might come back tomorrow. BTW the place is huge!”
