  “if I could give 0 stars, I would... TERRIBLE customer service. Not the first bad experience I've had at Ocean, but definitely the last. Purposely ignoring what I asked for multiple times, then overcharging me at the end - when I arrived I was specific about the exact service I wanted. not once was told about the price increase/change in service. It would have been rude/embarrassing not to pay but to be honest I shouldn't have. Fair enough if I actually liked my nails but the filing job is poor and lazy, and the polish is patchy. Just overall ridiculous. Customer service is POOR. Do not get your nails done here even in an emergency!!!”

  “When I asked the lady to cut my nails, she cut them very short. Too short that it hurt me & ruined my nail beds. She also did not have a nice attitude towards me. However, she did do the nails quickly & the acrylic nails do look quite nice.”

  “A friend recommended ocean nails to me and it is the best nail salon I have ever been to. Everyone is really lovley and my nails always look amazing and last so long. The owner Maya is so nice and she is welcoming. I would 1000% recommend this place to get your nails done in Nottingham.”

  “"I've been a loyal customer of Ocean Nails for three years, with Maiya consistently delivering excellent results. However, over the past six months, the quality has declined to the point where my nails have been breaking painfully down the centre of my natural nails after only a few days. I feel criticized no matter what I do—if I point out issues, I’m scolded, and if I don’t, I’m still blamed for not saying anything.Today I experienced outright rudeness that was unnecessary: she told me my nails were too long for her to do, and waste to much products even though she’s done them for years at this length and I happily pay extra for.After I asked for a small shape adjustment, she abruptly refused, even hurting me with the file. She also tried to overcharge me £50 for four infills and six replacements, when the correct price should have been around £35–£40. I refused to pay the inflated amount and offered £40. Throughout others time in the shop Maiya changed the pricing as she went along as I know what she charges. She even sighed and rolled her eyes at another customer who walked in, for a simple pedicure and tutted at another lady as she was asking for adjustments.Despite claiming a passion for long nails this is a disgrace. After years of loyalty and tipping, I will not be returning. I strongly urge others to think twice before booking, as my experience has been deeply negative today and over the past six months.”

  “Ive had such a mix bag of experiences here the staff can be lovely and kind tho most speak minimum English. Other times I've gone in and seen staff be rude to newer clients. The place is always clean and tidy on all of my vists! The wait on the other hand is a big issue they never turn people away so at times you can get in and out within an hour or less others your sat for close to 2 hours having the staff jump between customers and waiting 20 minutes in between steps of your service which is normal in the industry but pretty unpleasant at times. Id definitely recommend the place especially if you see it's quite as they are definitely good at what they do”

  “Such a great experience! The sweetest Vietnamese lady did my nails and was so kind and attentive. My nails turned out beautiful and looked exactly like the picture I showed her. Perfectly shaped and finished so nicely. I’ve already gotten compliments and will definitely be back!”

  “i have nothing bad to say about this place, when i first started going i was apprehensive as my friend always did my nails but after stopping her practice i needed to find somewhere else. they always do an amazing job and i get exactly what i asked for each time. so far these are my favourite nails i’ve had from them, i couldn’t find a inspo photo that i liked so i drew the idea up myself, when i went in the man doing my nails brought what i asked for to life and even added his own touches (did ask before and i was more than happy to let him). their prices are always reasonable, they’re all so friendly and they’re always up for a chat whilst still being professional🤍(i would attach the original drawing as well but they wanted to keep it)”

  “I asked for oval shaped nails, and even pointed out during the process that the shape didn’t look oval. The lady still insisted that what she did was “oval,” even though the nails are clearly almond — tapered and pointed, not rounded. It felt like she didn’t want to correct her mistake. On top of that, the color I wanted wasn’t available, so she mixed/added an extra coat to get something “close,” and then charged me extra for that without mentioning it beforehand. That’s just dishonest. Her attitude throughout the appointment was rude and dismissive. No effort to listen, no clarification, no willingness to fix anything. For the price they charge, the service and behaviour were unacceptable. I left with the wrong shape, an extra charge I didn’t agree to, and an overall bad experience. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.”

  “If I could I’d give you 0 STARS!! this place made my fingers bleed. Didn’t ask if I was okay and said I was okay. When I really wasn’t. They started shaping my nails to coffin which I didn’t ask for. They just did my nails without asking what I wanted. And my nail paint is coming off!! They can’t even shape my nails properly..”
