Quick info
About Tung Fong
Tung Fong is a Chinese takeaway at 666 Western Blvd in Nottingham, where the pancake rolls are large enough to come in a burger box. A box menu sits alongside the main list, and it includes a salt and pepper box for 2. The kitchen also makes sweet and sour dishes, with a choice of spare ribs, chicken balls or chicken. Orders can be built around the box menu or picked item by item, so a group can split a meal or one person can take a single dish.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers who praise the food point most often to the boxes, with one describing the salt and pepper box for two as loads of food and the special dinner boxes as a decent selection. The appetisers come close behind: the prawn toast is golden with a generous topping, and the pancake rolls are so big they arrive in a burger box. Others mention sweet and sour spare ribs, chicken balls, and chicken and pineapple, with one calling the food delicious and arriving at the right time. A few note that pickup was quick and that a request for an off-menu extra box was met without fuss. The complaints are about delivery and service. Two reviewers describe raw, undercooked chicken, including the pineapple chicken. Others report missing dishes from an order, an order that was wrong once or twice, and orders cancelled after the shop said the customer was blacklisted. Several describe rude phone exchanges, and in one case a manager asked for a delivered meal to be brought back before any refund or exchange.

“I Used to live in Nottingham but now Im over 50 miles away. When Im visiting it's my first call for my tasty tea. Sometimes,we just drive to Notts just for a takeaway and this is only one place for us. Keep up the good work guys!”

“Ordered a Chinese meal last night for entertaining a guest at home. It arrived at just the right time (less than 40 minutes). The food was absolutely delicious. Our guest thoroughly enjoyed it and said the food was exquisite. For variety I ordered the sweet and sour spare ribs, sweet and sour chicken balls, egg fried rice. Chicken and pineapple, beef, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts, chinese pork chow mein along with more sweet and sour sauce and prawn crackers. This was a fab choice and there was enough left for our guest to take some home and we have some for today's dinner. Thank you so much Tung Fong for making our night a pleasurable one!”

“As usual i order from here and have done ever since living here for over a year. Today however when my food was delivered i was rudely approached by the driver and had my food tossed at me. When i called the shop to ask for this driver not to be sent to my address again i was told by the front desk male “i dont care go somewhere else then”. I then got hung up on. When calling back i asked to speak to a manager and was refused this right to do so. I then spoke to the delivery driver again he threatened me saying “ill come back and smash your face in, i know where you live”. I have had to ring the police and report this as i am a single pregnant women and do not feel safe.”

“The people working here are absolutely vile and the old fat woman is a b1tch !!! Do not order from here as they are not trustworthy. Customer service is awful and very very rude - especially the woman. Had her telling me that "I should shut up because I was speaking over her". The chicken was raw and under cooked and you could smell it outside the packaging, made me feel incredibly nauseous and sick. I spent quite a lot of money on Tung Fong and I was very much disappointed. Delivery was also disgusting as I asked for my change and they told me that "I don't need change as ive paid it to the dot" when my order was £66.50 and i paid £70 expecting change !! I tried arguing saying that I need my change and it wasnt a tip. To say this was my first time ordering I do not recommend at all!! My order had spilled items such as my curry sauce. Worst experience that ive ever had with a chinese takeaway. Shame on you Tung Fong! Vile.”

“For many many years my parents and myself have ordered from Tung Fong, whether its in person or via calling for a delivery. Yesterday my parents ordered with ease and to find the delivery have a good chunk of the order missing. My mothers part of the order wasnt received, with her being diabetic, the other part of the order, she couldnt have because of the ingredients used in the dishes, they rang back to Tung Fong, asking where the rest of the order was, the response of "you didn't order anything else and we dont have your order anymore" made it more concerning as well as frustrating. From now on we shall not be using Tung Fong ever again, use other trusted Chinese Takeaways. As expected 1 star for a once loved takeaway.”
