  “Great little burger joint in Nottingham! Tried two burgers from the menu, both of them were excellent, well cooked, tasty and plenty of the extras on top too. Chips were nice and crispy and I thought the drinks were pretty reasonable. Always like to give my business to an independent over a chain and I’m glad I did. Keep up the good work guys!”

  “Such a lovely meal, burger was incredible, came so quickly and food was piping hot. Darcey was an absolute pleasure and made the meal 10 times better. Would absolutely recommend to anyone fancying a juicy messy burger!”

  “Very nice little spot here, independent restaurant and the burgers go well here (good selection if your after beef, chicken or perhaps vegetarian). Would recommend to anyone travelling to Nottingham”

  “Had my first burger here this evening, 4 April 2026 and it was really good. The service was friendly but not intrusive. The side of onion rings was delicious.”

  “Went here spontaneously and they had space for 2 people, fancied a burger and it looked nice inside. Staff were friendly but unfortunately my food kept coming out wrong- 3 times. In the end i ate it even though it still wasn’t what I had ordered. Shame as it’s nice inside if you sit downstairs. Have to agree with some reviews about the staff seeming a bit clueless clearly new hires that need a bit more training. Toilets could do with a clean. Burger itself was nice when I eventually ate it but they didn’t knock anything off the bill which I thought was a bit cheeky since I’d said it was still wrong”

  “Very nice burgers! Food arrived quickly and came presented nicely. Service was exceptional, makes a nice change for somebody to go above and beyond in the service industry. 1 small mistake with our order, but that was soon rectified. Nice background music, not overbearing. Would definitely recommend”

  “The people and the vibe were nice, comfortable and relaxing. However, they are slightly clumsy, but it's a new business and you just have be patient with them. The portions are filling with nice burgers, but the chips are a bit too salty, more like McDonald's type of salty.”

  “Wasn’t a great experience. Food was very average for the price. Sauces were just in packets. There was no music playing which created a bit of a stilted atmosphere. The staff were friendly but didn’t really seem to know what they were doing. They asked if I wanted the bill while I was visibly still eating like they were trying to rush me out. They were also whispering next to us the whole time which just didn’t feel great to me. Wouldn’t recommend or go again to be honest.”

  “The burger meat was quite good and seasoned well. The fried chicken bites were dry and didn’t have much taste. Fries were too salty but fried well. Also ordered a hot chocolate, granted not an everyday thing you order from a burger joint, but it tasted like water and nothing else. Overall nothing really special that stands out, if anything it's quite bare bones. The problem is the price for the portion and overall what you get is not worth it, I could basically go many other places for better and more interesting food for the same price. Service was fine and the place itself was decent. The upstairs area was shut even though the sign outside said it was open so not sure why advertise it as having more seating upstairs when it's not open. 2 stars because at the end of the day I would not come back or recommend to others. Not sure why people give 4+ stars for mediocre places.”

  “Had a good experience overall at Stax Burgers. The food was fresh, the portions were solid, and the service was quick. The place was clean and the staff were polite. Worth a visit if you’re craving a decent burger.”
