About ONUR Burger

ONUR Burger is a hamburger restaurant at 56 Alfreton Rd in Nottingham, and it is a franchise bringing the ONUR patty to the UK for the first time. The menu includes halal offerings, and burgers sit alongside chicken and beef sando. Chicken gets its own section, led by the Nashville box, which pairs tenders with mac and cheese, fries and coleslaw. Mini loaded fries come topped with buttermilk chicken or Angus beef, with dynamite sauce, chipotle sauce or garlic mayo on the side. Service is walk-in, and banana pudding is the dessert.

Customer Review Summary

Loaded fries are the draw most reviewers return to, with the mini loaded fries praised as filling, fresh and generously sauced, often with Angus beef or buttermilk chicken and dynamite sauce. Close behind, the Nashville chicken earns praise for being perfectly fried and spiced, and the Nashville box tenders are called juicy, with the mac and cheese and banana pudding also getting mentions. Portions and value come up repeatedly, and several describe the staff as friendly or kind. The caveat is consistency. Two longtime customers say standards slipped after the reopening. One describes a bland cheeseburger on a regular bun instead of brioche, and a dry Nashville chicken with minimal coating. Another found the box meal's strips too dry to eat and the mac and cheese lacking flavour. One reviewer says a burger released a pool of oil onto the table. The seating is called uncomfortable and not very cosy, and one reviewer notes a door that would not close, leaving the place freezing.

“My family and I travelled from Hull to try this place after hearing so many great things about the food, and I have to say, it definitely didn’t disappoint! The loaded fries were absolutely amazing, and the spicy burger was one of my favourites. We also tried the chicken and beef sando, which were both delicious and packed with flavour. The Nashville mac and cheese was my son’s favourite — he ate the whole thing and we even had to get another one to take home! 😂 The portions are incredible; you genuinely get more than what you’ve paid for. Everything was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. If you live in Nottingham or you’re just visiting, this place is an absolute must-try! 🙌”

“Honestly, this may be the BEST spot for dirty food in Nottingham for 2026. I’ve been to many restaurants and whilst the restaurant is not impressive (sub-par, missing many basics and luxuries), the food is absolutely incredible. The best tasting fillets, burgers and fries. Price is also highly competitive and even beats some of the competition across the street.”

“The burgers are well made with nice crispy patties and onion rings, but there is way too much oil. I squeezed my burger and a gallon of oil ran out onto the table. Please, make the burgers less greasy or you'll give all your customers a heart attack.”

“Was a regular here for a while, food was always amazing and full of flavour, unfortunately since they reopened back in September the standards have dropped, ordered a small combo cheeseburger and nashville mother clucker: The cheeseburger lacked any flavour, the beef patties weren't really crispy but tasted bland and not like a smash burger, theyve switched from a brioche bun to a normal bun, overall just not as good as it was before the re-opening. Mother clucker Nashville was also disappointing, the chicken was again lacking any good flavour and the coating was very minimal, was dry and lacked sauce ive had this again before the re-opening and it was amazing, just a shame standards have gone down... The skin on fries were good but not really why I come to Onur, it was always about the burger and their quality. The loaded fries were okay, just lacked any chicken inside felt like it was just fries with a load of sauce thrown on top Not one to normally review food, but a disappointing experience from what was otherwise my favourite burger spot in Nottingham. Would definitely reconsider coming back once I hear from others that standards have improved.”

“Really enjoyed this place. The burgers were tasty and fresh, and the loaded fries were great too with plenty of toppings. Good portion sizes, friendly staff, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a spot I’d come back to if I’m in the area.”
