About No33 in the Park
No33 in the Park is a coffee shop in Norwich, set inside Chapelfield Gardens, where some tables look out over the play park. It opened in 2023 as a park café, alongside a sister café on Exchange Street. The breakfast and brunch menu includes many vegan and vegetarian options, among them a vegan chorizo hash and a vegan pancake stack. Other plates include smashed avocado on toasted sourdough and salmon eggs benedict, while vegetarian French toast sits beside French toast sticks. Coffee and fresh juices, including orange juice, cover the drinks. Service is walk-in, so guests simply arrive and find a table. Dogs are welcome, which suits a visit combined with a walk through the gardens.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the varied brunch menu, especially its vegan and vegetarian choices, with the vegan chorizo hash and a vegetarian French toast singled out. Close behind are the smashed avocado on toasted sourdough, the salmon eggs benedict, American pancakes and Korean beef brisket, while a Victoria sponge is called heavenly. One reviewer found the side of French toast sticks so huge it could have been a main, and another reports huge portions, though a third calls the food good but nothing extraordinary. Reviewers repeatedly describe friendly staff and quick, hot service even when the café is full, and the park setting on a sunny day comes up often. Coffee and fresh juices earn a mention too. The one sustained complaint comes from a diner who says a small handful of staff gathered behind their table, loudly singing, swearing and talking about being drunk, which felt like having breakfast in a student house. Another reviewer describes how the café kept their Saturday table reserved even though they arrived late.

“Deservingly, a very popular spot. The food is both delicious and atheistically pleasing. Great coffee and fresh juices too.”

“Great food - had the vegan chorizo hash which was really good. Lovely location in the park on a hot summer day and the staff are super friendly and attentive. Lots of other vegan options on the menu too. Would have gone for the vegan pancake stack if not the hash - it was a tough decision. Lot of soul searching. My daughter had the Vegetarian French Toast. Both pictured.”
