  “Air fryer slop. I heard the infamous air fryer tone about a quarter of the way into eating coming from the kitchen. These people are putting an 8 quid premium on food you can make in your own home for a quarter of the price. There is a Chinese 2 doors down - go there instead. Staff at front of house are lovely, this is purely a dig at whoever owns this place. Avoid like the plague.”

  “Went to Scott and Wilson after going before. Chips were amazing they’re now hard and stale. The chicken burger was 2 small chicken tenders in a brioche bun. Coleslaw was bland. The 2 chefs stood and swore throughout our meal. Waitress was nice and the decor is but the food now crap. Disappointing unsure if it’s changed owners”

  “Be careful ordering from just eat. Ordered breakfast and although they were open on the app and accepted the order they decided to not deliver until 5 hours later. Couldn't get through to anyone at the restaurant, tried to cancel in app with no success. Order turned up 5 hours later, no apology or explanation. The next part is not the restaurants fault but the driver told me he needed the code to process cancellation on his side. Took my food, my money and when I complained through just eat they rejected as the driver had marked it as delivered. I'm sure the service is great in the restaurant but they still accepted the order and just kept pushing delivery time, then delivered my breakfast at almost dinner time”

  “Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently. The freshness of the ingredients and the unique flavors were unforgettable. Highly recommended for food enthusiasts or just if you want to grab a bite to eat! This was more than just a meal - it was an experience!   “After gaining fame (or infamy depending on which side you are on) for the Swedish rat burger, I had to come no matter what to show my support (for this business) and disdain (for that useless rat). The bar is very cosy and the servers were very friendly. Even though the rat burger was no longer available, they have this value set where you have potato skins/ salad with your choice of pizza and coffee or ice cream for a grand total of only 9.99 pounds. I chose the meat feast version for another 2 pounds more. I never knew potato skins could taste this good. The pizza was tasty and the crust was thin and soft. A very fitting meal to end my trip in Newcastle . Lots of love all the way from Singapore. Hope I will have a chance to come again 😄”

  “A great place for breakfast. Lovely chilled vibes in the morning. They offer some really good 'alternative' options for breakfast, as well as the usuals. I can't recommend the chilli honey highly enough! The breakfast with haggis and peppercorn sauce was also great.”

  “Absolutely loved this place, warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and modern style. I have only tried the breakfast at Scott and Wilson, pleased to say its not you normal full breakfast, sausages full of flavour and a unique twist on most items on the breakfast. The only classic think on the menu is the coffee, i had a really well made latte. Hopefully I'll be back soon to try there evening meals.”

  “Probably the best lunch that we have had in a long time. Nachos, Mac and cheese and the special Mac and cheese (which I had) and was was so very tasty. Great value for money. Reasonable selection of wines and beers. Really nice and helpful staff. Cocktail deal - 2 cocktails for £10 Baby changing and high chairs. Takes American Express.”

  “We have been meaning to try this place for ages, although with work and then lockdown it's been a long time coming. But boy was it worth the wait. Nice comfortable area, lovely decor with very attentive and polite staff. Usual Covid regulations in place and well managed. The food was simply sublime, perfectly cooked, very tasty. The only disappointment that I wasn't allowed all the desserts on one night so I guess we'll be heading back very soon.”
