Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the freshly cooked breakfast and lunch, with the bacon and egg sarnies, scampi with hand cut chips, a jacket potato and a ham salad all singled out. Close behind is the farm setting, where diners watch goats, cows and chickens from the outdoor seating, and the air conditioning on a hot day gets repeated mentions. Several describe friendly, fast service, a water bowl brought out straight away for three dogs, and a good welcome for a young child. A shared carrot cake and the coffee also earn praise. The main complaint is plate size: a few say the plates are too small, with one breakfast sliding off the edge and another reviewer finding the eggs and mushrooms tiny and the bacon and sausage dry from being batch cooked. One visitor was nearly turned away and asked to eat outside while reserved indoor tables sat unused for an hour. Opinions on price split between reasonable and a little high on some dishes. One reviewer closes on the directions to find it: turn left at the giant chicken.

“We popped in for lunch with our 3 dogs. The staff were welcoming and brought a water bowl out for the dogs immediately. Food was 5 star, delicious and not pricey for the quality. Will definitely return soon.”

“Wow, what a find! Went with daughter for lunch today. Firstly, they have air-conditioning! Superb when it's 30°+ outside. The food was lovely, my daughter had a jacket potato, I had a ham salad. Both absolutely lovely. We shared a huge piece of carrot cake for dessert, again, it was divine. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the whole thing couldn't have been better. We will be returning.”
