About Samosa Hut
Samosa Hut is an Indian takeaway in Nelson, on Scotland Rd at number 87. The menu runs from meat samosas to chicken masala, and pizzas sit alongside the Indian dishes, so a single order can mix both for people who want curry and pizza in one stop. Staff take orders at the counter and can handle requests such as extra cheese or extra spice on a pizza. The shop is open daily, every day of the week.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza is the item reviewers praise most. One diner calls it the only thing they would recommend and suggests asking for extra cheese or spice, and another names the pizzas and curries as the well-known draws. Samosas split opinion: a longtime regular calls them good, while another notes they are not sold fresh. A few credit the homemade food and the friendly, hardworking staff, though price comes up as slightly high, and one reviewer felt prices were raised for Eid. The complaints are specific and recurring. Several describe orders going wrong: onions left on a samosa chaat after a request to omit them, a chicken masala that arrived heavily salted despite a request for less, with that reviewer reporting stomach cramps and dizziness afterward, and an order placed ahead that was not ready on arrival. Others found chicken pakoras hard and fish pakoras mostly batter. Meat samosas drew the sharpest comment, filled mostly with potato, and the reply at the counter was that a tiny bit of meat is how they make them.

“Poor -ordered meat samosas and they were filled with potatoes with a couple of specs of mince meat. If you’re gonna sell meat samosas then put at least 50% meat in. There wasn’t even 1% meat in. We took it back and he said “yes this is how we do it, look a tiny bit of meat”. Shocking , ridiculous and poor -avoid , avoid , avoid”

“Overcharging on Eid Better ask for Eidy instead of increasing price just for Eid, or should put a box inside asking for help if can’t provide food in normal prices.”

“Samosa Hut doesn’t sell fresh samosas, so don’t go expecting that and slightly over priced too. Their pizza is the only thing I can recommend ask for extra cheese or spice, flavour etc. and it’s really good. No doubt the staff are very attentive and will listen to your requests.”

“I am not allowed to eat onion so I specifically told the person with the glass’s behind the counter to not put them and then I paid for a taxi home to but when I got home the food has salad and onions all over it which I cannot eat so it was going to go to waste I rang them he said we would sort it out next time wasted my time getting a samosa chaat for breakfast ended up having coffee instead the staff need to remember what the customer says to them this has not happened once it’s been multiple times now I will not be returning again”

“Not like it used to be, chicken pakoras were hard, fish pakoras were just batter and barely any fish.”
