Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers praise the generous portions, from the lion banquet served hot and fresh to a beef ho fun with plenty of tender beef, plus chow mein and rice portions one party felt they over-ordered. Several describe welcoming staff, quick service and lakeside tables, and a Ginger Punch and Chinese tea on request earn mentions. Criticism is varied. One reviewer found the beef ho fun underseasoned, and another did not love the tofu dishes and disliked that the fryer oil is shared with meat dishes, though staff said so upfront. One wanted more dim sum than prawn toast and gyoza, and another found some staff rude and rushed. One reviewer reports being seated by the kitchen and told the lake tables were fully booked, then seeing a couple without a reservation given one, which they describe as profiling. A fortune cookie after a vegetarian meal was a pleasant surprise.

“First visit. Saturday early evening. We were celebrating a birthday and it was a small party booking. It's a big menu to absorb which is great for choice just more complex in ordering. Drinks menu was interesting for example I had a Ginger Punch. Really good table, seated corner round table with window view of lake.Food was ordered & I would say it was served 2/3 dishes at a time but this all works out & did not impede our enjoyment of it.The food looked appealing and authentic. Everyone was happy with quality & quantity. I feel we over-ordered slightly, rice & chow mein portions generous. Reasonable bill. Would go back!”

“Beef ho fun was very good, generous amount of tender beef, not too greasy, background wok hei but overall was underseasoned for my taste.”

“I'm a vegetarian and hence tried Tofu and Seitan dishes. We tried Tofu Skewers, Mapo Tofu with veggies, Sichuan Sietan, Cashew nut with Tofu and boiled rice. Filling for sure. Didn't love the taste. The oil they use to deep fry is used in both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes which I was not keen on. But I appreciate the staff to mention this upfront. The variety/selection is huge. If you're into actual spicy food, ask for extra spicy on top of what is mentioned in the menu. Fortune cookie at the end was a pleasant surprise. Quick service, kind staff, nice ambience, beautiful walking path right outside the door. Overall decent.”

“I took my girlfriend here on the weekend at peak times and was sat with the lakeside view per request, even when most of the floor was mostly full. The service here was 11/10, with staff being very welcoming and helping us choose the best dishes to order. The food came out swiftly and in good portion sizes, reminding me of how actual oriental food should taste. And lastly the decor was fantastic, exactly what I imagine when I think of an oriental restaurant!! I will 100% be coming back here on a regular basis, given the combination of the atmosphere, food quality and price!!!”

“Had such a beautiful experience at this place and felt so welcome! Had an amazing meal with my best friend here and was able to enjoy the pretty lake side view. I had delicious food and the staff were incredibly lovely. I rarely write reviews of restaurants but I am delighted of my experience here and would recommend for anyone to give it a try.”
