Customer Review Summary
Reviewers consistently single out the sticky toffee pudding as a standout, with two separate diners praising it, one noting an unusual twist using cinnamon and ginger. Close behind, the fish dishes draw repeated praise, described as excellent, alongside the steamed salmon, though one reviewer found the greens underdone. Several also recommend the beef and sausage shepherd's pie. The kitchen's handling of coeliac needs is noted positively, with most dishes adaptable to gluten free aside from pasta, burgers, pies and haggis. Service earns mixed reports: many call it attentive and polite, but one table had to ask twice for cutlery and drinks, waiting roughly ten minutes, while another found the pace of plate clearing rushed. A couple of reviewers flag the food as underwhelming in flavour despite good presentation, and prices come up as steep for what's served. One diner also found the restaurant uncomfortably noisy on a packed evening, though attributed to popularity rather than fault.

“This is my go to place to eat before getting the ferry to Belfast. I hadn’t realised that it was under new owners but happily the standards are still top notch. My beautiful waitress was so friendly and attentive and took my order promptly and it wasn’t long before my meal was served. I mixed and matched a starter with a side of chunky chips which really hit the mark followed by delicious sticky toffee pudding. I just wish I wasn’t in such a rush this time as I love to soak in the atmosphere. I wish continued success to the new owners and staff.”
