Customer Review Summary
Match-day viewing is the main draw, with reviewers pointing to the plentiful screens for following football and rugby on a Saturday afternoon, and one praising a really good atmosphere on match days. One reviewer misses the screen at the open back side, which has stopped working, and another says a large group blocked the view of the England match and the manager asked him to leave after he raised it. Close behind are the drinks and service: a wide range and offers, decent cocktails, a lovely sweet peach fizz, and one barmaid who went above and beyond. Food draws the most complaints. Reviewers describe a full English and gammon steak that arrived dry after a long wait for an app order with no apology, cheesy garlic wings with no cheese, a breakfast missing mushrooms with no replacement offered, and a watery cappuccino. One diner's mixed grill steak came medium well instead of medium rare, and the remade plate arrived with the steak still overcooked and the egg unchanged.

“Overall, OK pub I got the cheesy garlic fwings, but they only tasted like garlic and there was no cheese. Peach fizz drink was lovely and sweet. Perfect girl drink 🍹”

“A great football match viewing centre around the city centre. Except for the fact that they have decided to keep the screen at the open back side to stop working. I always enjoyed watching match at the open back side of the bar.”

“An absolutely bizarre experience. I came here to watch the England match, only to find the place packed with a group of 10 to 12 young lads who blocked my view of the screen without buying a single drink between them. When I politely pointed this out to the manager, they couldn’t have cared less. Instead of asking the freeloaders to buy something or leave, the manager inexplicably kicked me out. Avoid this place if you actually want a fair atmosphere and respectful service.”

“Great sports bar with a really good atmosphere, especially on match days. Plenty of screens so you can always see what’s going on, and the energy in the place is spot on. Food is top for a bar came out quick and tasted fresh. Cocktails were also decent and reasonably priced. One thing I really appreciated was the security. The bouncers were professional and kept everything under control without being over the top, which made the night feel safe and well managed. Would definitely come back.”

“Today I went for lunch with my daughter and we were very disappointed. Let’s start from the beginning. The restaurant was cold. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a mixed grill (steak medium rare) with extra peppercorn sauce. The steak came medium well, the egg was overcooked so the yolk didn’t run, the chicken was clearly fried in a fryer just to give it colour, and the sausage was the same - hard and dry. The peas were overcooked. The pizza was underbaked on the bottom. No one came to check if the food was okay. After I complained, I was given two options: a refund or a remake. I chose a remake, which meant I had to pay for extra parking time. The remake arrived and it was almost the same - only the chicken and sausage were less burnt. The steak was still overcooked and the egg was exactly the same. We ate it because we were hungry and I didn’t want to complain again. No one checked on us, and I even had to ask for cutlery. I have worked in kitchens for 15 years, and in my opinion if a chef can’t manage such simple things, they should go back and learn the basics. When we left, the chef stared at me and my 6-year-old daughter as if he wanted to kill us. I only pointed out the issues. We will definitely never come back.”
