  “This place was quite packed and busy just after opening at 12!! Although, it didn’t take that long to receive my food…around 20 minutes. The only things that are gluten free are the salt and pepper items. I was told the calamari was very crispy but it didn’t live up to that statement at all. It was ok but I wouldn’t get it again. The salt and pepper chicken box was really nice. Would go back for that. Staff are friendly and helpful too”

  “Brilliant food, I’ve been here a few times but never been able to sit in with my food as it’s usually so busy. I got there for opening time today and there was a queue outside the door! We did manage to get a table and got the sticky chicken and rice and salt and pepper hash browns, which are always good 😊”

  “I’m coeliac and these guys were absolutely amazing, as was the food. The guy who served me on the till yesterday was really lovely and took his time to put the order through properly and make sure the info about my allergy was delivered to the kitchen, despite it being a really busy time of day. The food came out way quicker than expected and was prepped in a separate area. Was bloody delicious and I was so happy with it, especially seeing as we made a trip all the way from Frodsham just to get s+p gluten free squid! Haha thank you guys. Great work.”

  “lovely staff and great food! we got a side of the salt and pepper hash browns, which were amazing but we couldn't finish them because the portion sizes are super generous! will be back again next time we're in Manchester”

  “I got the surf and turf. Everything was amazing. The beef was cooked to perfection and the fried Prawns paired so well. I had 1/2 rice 1/2 chips. The picked veggies and leaf greens hit the spot. I would recommend this spot to any one planning on being in Manchester.”

  “The idea of serving chinese classic takeaway food into a "kebab" like format I think it's great! The food was overall lovely, maybe fried food suffering from tired oil, could notice chips and hash brown on the ledge or being over done. Both kebabs were tasty and the duck one was made of freshly cooked meat, not shredded stuff. Greens and veg also fragrant fresh. They have 3 different sauces to help yourself. All was served into takeaway packaging even if eating in, perhaps a bit more control over clearing station as getting full in no time. They were particularly busy at time of the visit and hard to find a table. It's a good experience and worth the money”

  “Sooo overrated. The chicken is so chewy and hard. My jaw actually hurt from chewing. Now, the surf and turf box is good. I would recommend HOWEVER, taking into consideration the pricing of the food, this place really isn’t all that. The food would taste better if it was cheaper because you’d actually get what you were paying for but I think people just come here because it’s conveniently placed.”

  “We have decided to try the Salt & Pepper in Manchester. First impressions, the place was spacious, plenty of seats and well-ventilated. There is a big menu when entering the restaurant to give customers an idea about the food they are offering which is a big plus. Staff were friendly. We ordered the Salt & Pepper Half and half with Rice and Chips and the Sticky Chicken. Portion is big and the flavour was tasty. Chips were crispy and the food is served warn. Unlimited sauces were available in the counter for dine in customers (4 sauces to choose from). The price is reasonable which we spend £22 or something which includes the drinks. Orders come quickly as well which is good when you are in a rush! Overall experience was excellent, food is highly recommended. It is a perfect food after a night out and will satisfy cravings. 💯”
