About The Yeoman
The Yeoman is a Mediterranean restaurant and pub on Ashford Road in Maidstone, set in a family-friendly format that also runs an off-licence area for customers buying drinks to take away. The kitchen serves Greek and Mediterranean dishes, with moussaka, kleftiko, fried calamari and Greek salad among the offerings. The room operates on a walk-in basis during service and hosts small private functions for groups. Dogs are welcome alongside families, and the counter staff take orders throughout the day. A standard pub range sits behind the bar to accompany the food. The setting combines the casual feel of a local with a menu rooted in Greek and Mediterranean cooking.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers praise the friendly staff and delicious food, singling out the moussaka and fried calamari as standout dishes at this family-friendly spot. A handful of recent visits, however, went the other way: one diner sent back a dry, day-old kleftiko, another described the kitchen as serving frozen pub food, and a third reported an ant problem. Several still recommend booking ahead or simply checking before you go.

“My 92 year old mother and I went to the The Yeoman today at 12.30. It was empty. It was her belated birthday lunch. She ordered fish from the lunch menu and liked it. I ordered a £26 Kleftiko and was kindly given. A greek salad with it. The day old Kleftiko came out like chopped liver in a various vegetable gravy with three day old Kleftiko cooked potatoes. The meat was dry and served in a 4" wide low sided terracotta dish. It was shameful and the chef must have known it wasn't good enough to serve...except to my dog. I would have made a fuss but it was my Mum's 92nd birthday and even tipped £5 on top of of the £50 bill. I lived in Cyprus for three years and love Kleftiko but not this rubbish from the Yeoman. So beware if it is empty restaurant and make sure the Kleftiko isn't chopped up from a previous day's cooking - they may serve you left overs.”

“Will never go to this pub ever again too loud too many screaming teenagers throwing at cars buying drinks in off-licence and drinking it in the ground”
