About Moonlight Cafe
Breakfast anchors the menu at Moonlight Cafe, a cafe on Bank Street in Maidstone, where a loyalty card rewards regular breakfast orders. The full English options extend to a mega breakfast, and portions come out large and filling. Beyond breakfast, the short menu of six dishes takes in an omelette with chips, and desserts round out the range. Coffee covers cappuccinos alongside hot and iced options. Tables are served by the staff, who bring food out rather than calling orders at a counter, and a radio plays in the background at conversational volume. The cafe works on a walk-in basis and opens daily, with cash and card both accepted.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what most reviewers come for, with the full English and a mega breakfast singled out for huge portions that are well cooked and served hot. Coffee comes up close behind, described as lovely, always hot and fresh, with cappuccinos and an iced coffee praised by name. Lunch also draws favourable mentions, including an omelette and chips that one regular orders, and a few reviewers love the desserts. Staff are the other steady theme, called friendly, welcoming and polite, with one noting they genuinely ask how customers are and another saying they are kind to children. Reviewers also describe a clean, tidy room and food that arrives promptly and looks beautifully presented. The only reservation is from one reviewer who finds the cafe lacks some ambience, though a few others call the atmosphere cosy and great. Several mention good value, and one notes the chef brought the food out to the table personally, which they took as a sign of pride in the cooking.

“This place is awesome. The food and service is top notch ! Clean and tidy premises. I tend to have an omelette and chips; however I have had other food here and all is so so tasty! The owner and staff are friendly and go above and beyond to ensure customers are happy.”

“I really recommend the Moonlight Cafe in Bank Street Maidstone. Having eaten here several times before. Today I again was not disappointed with my lunch. A really good range of food on menu. Something for everyone. Love the deserts. Just discovered they do a breakfast loyalty card. Cafe is light, clean and a friendly place, easy to see not just passers eat here, but regular customers. Staff very polite and friendly and genuinely ask how their customers are. Centrally located in maidstone and easy to find. Good prices to. Payments by cash or card. I recommend this little cafe to give it a try.”

“Went here this morning and ordered mega breakfast for me and my other half with cappuccinos. Coffee was lovely and the food was served promptly and was great quality food. The lady serving us was very polite and friendly and the chef brought out the food to our table which is always a nice touch and a good sign for me that the chef takes pride in their cooking. Will go again. Prices were normal they will find it hard to compete with wetherspoons nearby but the food quality and service is miles better here. The radio was nice at a good volume so that conversation can be had but you could still hear the tunes. Well done 👍✅”
