Customer Review Summary
Views over the Pennines and Derbyshire are what reviewers raise most, calling them breathtaking and stunning, and outside tables on a sunny day are singled out. Food comes close behind. Diners praise the carrot cake, the full English, a sausage sandwich, a jacket potato with cheese and bacon, and very good coffee, while several describe the staff as friendly. Home made desserts and a dozen or so cakes draw repeated comment. The complaints are fewer but specific. One reviewer found the fish cakes dry, the chips frozen and the veg lasagne like something microwaved from the freezer, and another called the scones small and powdery. A few note it gets very busy on nice days and the car park fills quickly, and one advises booking a table in advance. Even so, one reviewer's tip is coffee with a slice from the table covered with cakes.

“Great spot. Great views. Great food. Great staff. If you are out that way try coffee and a slices of one of those things they have a table covered with. Wonderful. Lunch is also very good.”

“Lovely location with fantastic views over Derbyshire. We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and shown to a table inside. Service was good with really tasty Ham Egg & Chips and Full English brought to the table quickly. Good parking for cars & bikes. Will be back!”

“Was late in the day so was quite fortunate to get an outside table in the glorious weather. Plenty more seating inside. Reasonable prices given the location, lovely jacket potato with cheese and bacon. My partners scones were however disappointing in size and powdery in texture and this sadly knocks the food rating down. But the view is to drive for!”
