Customer Review Summary
Chicken draws the most complaints, from watery, boiled pieces in a white curry sauce to rubbery curry chicken, rock hard chilli and salt chicken, and fried rice that tasted fishy. One reviewer reports sweet and sour chicken balls that were pink and slimy inside. Order accuracy is the next recurring problem: a vegetarian order arrived as a meat and fish dish, pork balls replaced prawn, and two mains were missing from another order. One diner called the house chow mein vile, while another finds the chow mein only sometimes dry. A fried tofu and mixed veg main had only peas and sweetcorn in a watery sauce, and the salt and chilli chips were called average. Reviewers describe staff as argumentative when problems are raised, including one counter exchange with shouting in front of waiting customers. Two reviewers were pleasantly surprised, calling the food good and reasonably priced. One who phoned back about the undercooked chicken balls says the staff member refused to accept they were raw.

“Tasteless food, the chicken was watery and boiled, curry sauce was white, curry is supposed to have colour and flavour, but here, just a watery white gravy...probably cutting down on spices to save money. Maybe other menu items are better? A one off bad meal? Also, cash only....I'd not recommend this based on this meal.”

“Was concerned with all the negative reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Food was good and very reasonably priced. Cash only but there is a cash point in the Co Op next door.”

“I wanted to disbelieve the reviews, but honestly it's the worst chinese I've ever had. Ill eat anything when I'm hungry but I've actually thrown this away. What even is this stuff?”

“Absolutely disgusting! Use to be much better but will not be going back after this experience. They left two mains of our order and when we phoned they argued with us that we hadn’t. They gave us pork balls when we ordered prawn and the 2 that had house chow mein couldn’t even eat it, it was vile. Spent £70 and over half went in the bin! Would not recommend. Yuk!!!!”

“Fried tofu and mixed veg only has peas and sweet corn in as veg, was hoping for/expecting some carrot and broccoli or something, and its in some kind of watery sauce that's not mentioned on the menu so I was expecting stir fried tofu n veg not vegless slop. Disappointing main dish, average salt and chilli chips.”
