Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split, and the split follows timing. Several describe a recent decline, with some suspecting new owners, while others praise fresh-tasting food and reliable delivery. The most frequent complaint is poor meat and bland mains. One reviewer found the beef metallic, the chicken rubbery and chewy, and the pork fatty. Others report soggy, very salty rice and noodles, watery hot and sour and chicken noodle soups, a powdery curry, and overcooked chips. King prawns, starters, and chips were still called good in one account. On the positive side, diners single out Salt and Chilli ribs, dishes with plenty of meat and vegetables, and food that tastes fresh rather than thick and heavy. Several mention polite staff and on-time delivery, though one says a delivery arrived a little late. A few call it pricier than other takeaways, with some feeling the extra is justified. Some longtime customers say card payment is no longer accepted for deliveries, and one adds that the younger driver never had change ready. That same reviewer still praised the receptionist and the older driver as pleasant and professional.

“Was a little late in arriving, but worth it. Lots of meat and vegetables in each dish we ordered. Taste was very good too. Would definitely order again.”

“Used to be excellent last twice i visited, food poor quality, tastless , chips over cooked , curry rather dry and sticky, rice also sticky. Certainly poor quality. Will look for another. Chinese food takeaway”

“After using this Chinese for several years, more recently my experience has been anything but pleasant. Over the past few weeks, the food is awful, it’s either undercooked or feels as though it’s been cooked 3 times over, rubbery and tough. Meat dishes contain very little sauce and some parts are just not edible. I believe it’s been taken over by new owners, who now won’t take card payments for deliveries anymore, it needs to be cash and when the younger driver delivers he never has any change ready to give. Bring back the old owners. Credit where credit is due, the receptionist and older driver are, and always have been pleasant, professional and approachable. They’re a credit to the business, it’s just unfortunate that the food doesn’t meet the usual standards anymore. I sadly no longer recommend this place.”

“Well what can I say I always used this Chinese but they have been taken over and no longer take card for deliveries. The food is not at all nice now in fact quite inedible. The rice can be very soggy and extremely salty. The noodles are the same. Bring back the old people who were lovely, polite and the food was great. I do not recommend the service or the food will not be using them again 🤮🤮”
