Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the strawberry desserts: the strawberry and cream doughnut filled with jam and cream and topped with fresh sliced strawberries, and the strawberry knafeh cup, along with a strawberry cream matcha made with real chopped strawberries. Close behind are the San Sebastian Cheesecake, Tiramisu Cake, milk cake and baklava, described as crisp and not overly sweet, plus a baklava ice cream sandwich. Drinks draw praise too, including the Signature Karak Chai, the Blue Hawaii and a white chocolate iced latte one reviewer orders weekly. The decor and calm atmosphere come up repeatedly, and several call the staff friendly and welcoming. The complaints are about service and consistency. One reviewer found staff unfriendly on two visits, with a noticeable delay after ordering. Another waited an hour for a kinder cookie dough that was drowned in hazelnut sauce, nothing like the first time. One reviewer's waffle order was cut short when the machine broke, and staff offered a slice of cake while they waited.

“I ordered the strawberry cream matcha and strawberry and cream doughnut. The matcha was so velvety and had the perfect foamy texture. When I drank it I was pleasantly surprised that they used real chopped up strawberries instead of a syrup. The doughnut was also delightful it was super soft and had a strawberry jam and cream filling and was covered with fresh sliced strawberries. I only had a short encounter with the lovely ladies at the front as I was ordering it to take out. But they were very kind and patient with me (I couldn't make my mind up as they had a huge variety). The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing, very clean and well maintained. The decor was beautiful. Overall it was an excellent experience. Well worth the 40min drive down!”

“Honestly I’m so disappointed, I ordered the kinder cookie dough as I got it last time and it was amazing… however this time it’s horrendous the cookie dough was simply covered in I think hazelnut sauce or cream or whatever and that’s all I could taste barely tasted the cookie. The last time I got it was was absolutely amazing. Not sure who’s made mine.. and also why did I have to wait an hour to get my order ..”

“The Baklava Company is a wonderful little gem in the heart of Luton. From the moment you step inside, the ambience stands out – beautifully decorated, warm, inviting, and perfect for enjoying a relaxed dessert break. The attention to detail in the interior creates a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help, adding to the overall positive experience. We tried the Tiramisu Cake, and it was absolutely delicious. It was rich, creamy, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Every bite was full of flavour without being overly sweet. In terms of value, I would say it sits in the medium range, but the quality of the dessert, the pleasant environment, and the excellent service make it worthwhile. The display of desserts is impressive, and the whole place has a premium dessert-house feel that is hard to find locally. If you're looking for a place to enjoy quality cakes, desserts, and a relaxing atmosphere, The Baklava Company is definitely worth a visit. A lovely addition to Luton’s food scene, and somewhere I would happily return to try more of their menu.”
