About Village Tandoori
Village Tandoori is a Bangladeshi restaurant in London, at 11 Chaseville Parade, and it runs as a sit-down dining room with table service from waiters. The menu includes lamb balti and meat samosa, with garlic naan to go alongside the curries. Pilau rice comes with the curries, and popadoms are available as a side. The dining room often has few other diners, which leaves it easy to talk across the table.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, naming the lamb balti served with pilau rice, garlic naan and meat samosa as favourites, while one takeaway customer describes big chunks of chicken cooked to perfection. Several call it delicious and fresh, and one says delivery is quick. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming and lovely, and one reviewer notes the dining room is very quiet with few other diners, which makes it easy to talk but light on atmosphere. The recurring complaint concerns takeaway and delivery orders. Two long-time customers report pilau rice or sides missing from repeated orders, leaving their curries uneatable until the items were sent out later. They say no apology or compensation followed, and one describes a phone call where the person was rude and hung up mid-conversation. Another finds the service unwelcoming on delivery, with no extras such as popadoms or a drink on the house for regulars. In one case the whole meal was delayed while the missing pilau rice was brought over.

“Probably the best Indian food you will ever taste. Delivery is quick and the food is fresh and so delicious. The service is delivered with kindness and care too, my three year old grand baby said it was delicious and yummy too. Says it all try it for yourself Mon x”

“This is one of my favourite Indian restaurants in north London! A really nicely decorated welcoming restaurant, really friendly staff and the most delicious food! My personal favourites are the garlic naan, meat samosa and lamb balti served with pilau rice. If I fancy an Indian meal, then this is the place to go!”

“Always lovely food but also very few other diners every time we go, so not much atmosphere, but on a positive note, very quiet and easy to talk.”

“Absolutely unacceptable service. We ordered on the 27th and, once again, items were missing — this time our pilau rice. You cannot eat most Indian dishes without rice, so our entire meal was delayed while we waited for it to be sent out. This is not the first time they’ve forgotten items, and it’s clearly a repeated issue with carelessness when packing orders. What made it worse was the customer service. When we called, the person on the phone could barely speak English, making it extremely difficult to explain the problem. On top of that, they were rude and hung up the phone mid-conversation. No apology. No ownership of the mistake. No offer of compensation. Mistakes can happen, but poor attitude and zero accountability are what really let this place down. If you’re running a business serving English-speaking customers, you need staff who can communicate properly and handle complaints professionally. Very disappointing experience.”
