“Went to try the famous Sunday roast, have to say it just taste alright. The portion is very big and the price is a lot, I also noticed other tables not finishing their plates so seems quite wasteful. Perhaps management can reduce the portion size and the price as well. I also want to raise some other concerns. I had a reservation and came in on time, was taken to my table, and then half an hour later, I got a message from my sister back in my home country (I left my sim there) it was 4AM in the morning at that time so my sister was woken up, and the restaurant asked if I was still coming and whether they should cancel my reservation. She told them I was already there and the staff said Ok no problem then , but didn’t apologise. Just seems a bit disorganised even though the staff was quite friendly when I later asked her in person to confirm I’m there in case I do get charged the hefty no show fee. Felt like i would have been charged this fee had my sister not been able to pick up my phone back in my home country to confirm I was there already. Oh, and then in my Sunday roast chicken horseradish sauce, I found a piece of blue plastic wrapping in it. I also noticed that when the staff (in black shirts and ties) bring the food over in the big wooden boards, as they lean over to put the food on those boards, their ties touch the food. On a positive note, the desserts were excellent- especially the sticky toffee pudding. The staff and new staff (young gentleman) was also very helpful and nice and refilled our cups constantly :)”

“We had such a wonderful Sunday roast at No Fifty Cheyne. Everything was beautifully cooked and full of flavor! LOVED the fixings, especially the crispy potatoes and rich, delicious gravy. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and the service made the whole experience feel really special. It’s easy to see why their Sunday roast is so highly regarded. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Sunday lunch in London.”

“Things I loved: * decor - the restaurant is absolutely beautiful both inside and out * service - all the staff were very friendly and accommodating * it’s dog friendly and they really made an effort to fuss over our dog * the portions were very generous Things I didn’t love: * our food wasn’t very hot * the vegetarian options were very poor There was only one vegetarian option on the Saturday lunch menu - roasted cauliflower with pesto. I personally don’t love being served a chunk of vegetable as a main, I feel like it’s a bit unimaginative, but the pesto was delicious and the accompaniments were very good. The thing that really put me off though is that there was no option for vegetarian gravy - the only option was beef gravy. I thought that was very disappointing. You can’t have a roast dinner without gravy and the waiter made a big deal of saying that. It’s not hard to do a vegetarian gravy, even Bisto gravy is vegetarian, I would have been fine if they’d given me that. Also the potatoes were shown on the menu as being cooked in beef fat, I’m not sure if that’s the case with the ones they served us. My husband and I ate meat for 38 years and have only been vegetarian for the last 3 years so we’re willing to be a bit more relaxed but I know that wouldn’t be the case for a lot of vegetarians. We visited because we were given a gift voucher for Christmas and we went with my sister as part of a special day out so we didn’t want to make a fuss but I personally wouldn’t go back. My sister did enjoy her beef roast though so I would say this is probably a good place for meat eaters but somewhere vegetarians should avoid.”
