“So I've wanted to order from here before but never got around to doing so until today. Service is what made the food taste that little bit sweeter, orded the curry goat white rice, with steamed veg. Potion size was very good, meat quality was decent good mix of on the bone and off the bone bits of meat and seasoned well.”

“Ordered the large jerk chicken with rice and plantain, flavour was really really good and service was friendly, I asked for it spicy and it was perfectly spiced, my one minus for this place is that there wasn't much meat - it was mostly bone. I would return to try another dish”

“One of the best Caribbean restaurants around, their Oxtail with veg, rice and peas is something to die for. I come here once or twice every 3 monthly, clean place, respectful and friendly staffs. I usually don't buy Caribbean food if it's not from East London, but this place is an exception for me. I cannot give it enough stars.”

“Don't go to London without hitting this Authentic Jamaican Restaurant. The food, the experience, is certainly more than worth the Tube, Bus, Train or Uber fare. Guaranteed. Will still cost you less than the nearby fancy restaurants with food that cant compare. Take it from me the certifiable foodie. 😍🫶 #EmpressMonalisa”

“Really enjoyed Likkle D’s! I ordered oxtail and rice and peas. The food was great - generous portions and very reasonably priced, so definitely good value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made a difference. It was quite busy when I went, but the queue moved quickly thanks to how many staff were working, which was impressive. Most people seem to order to go as well, so there are usually tables available if you want to eat in. The only downside was the queuing and ordering/collection system, which felt a bit confusing and could be organised better. Would still recommend and will be back!”

Customer Review Summary

Oxtail is the dish reviewers return to most, praised as tender, soft meat with deep flavour that pairs well with rice and peas or plain rice and plantain. Curry goat comes close behind, with one reviewer noting a good mix of on-the-bone and off-the-bone meat and another ranking it above the jerk chicken. Portions and value are repeatedly mentioned, and the staff are described as friendly and welcoming, with tables wiped constantly. Reviewers are less settled on a few points. One found the beef steak chewy, and another said the large jerk chicken was mostly bone. Several call the separate queues for ordering and collection confusing, though one says the line moved quickly. One reviewer reports finding a dead bug in an oxtail and curry goat meal, and says that when they asked for a refund, the owner who called back suggested they had put it there, without an apology.
