About Sicilian Art Pizzeria

Sicilian Art Pizzeria is an Italian pizza restaurant in London, at 188 High St, with a cocktail bar and wine bar alongside the dining room. Fake flowers cover the ceilings and ceramic dishes cover the walls, which makes the decor the first thing to notice on walking in. The pizza list includes the Calabrese and the Napoli, and fried calamari is served as a starter. A selection of desserts rounds out the menu. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers split on this one. Most praise the pizzas, with the Calabrese and Napoli singled out, plus starters of Misto and fried calamari, and a friendly welcome. One reviewer had a half sushi, half pudding pizza made on request. Others found the antipasto skimpy, the pizzas heavy on tomato sauce, and the decor over the top. One family waited nearly 20 minutes to be served and left.

“Sicilian Art Pizzaria is an amazing place, with a lovely atmosphere Giuliano Is an fine host/waiter, Victor & Pedro are fine Chefs, the food is delicious we ordered Misto & Fried Calamari as starters and the Napoli Pizza. I wish my tummy had more room for food because I would be indulging in more food!”

“Overpriced and low quality food and drinks. We went to this Sicilian Pizza place with friend, hoping to have nice authentic Sicilian food. We had fried Calamari and antipasto Sicilian, that came with very little cheese and a big salad portion instead. We were told that was coming with some rosemary focaccia and there were 5 small pieces of focaccia there. When we did get the bill we saw that we were charged for a full focaccia bread! 😡. The cocktails were low quality and did like. They has some beer that said it was special Sicilian craft which was £9.20 for less than a pint! The pizzas were nothing special, too much tomato sauce and rosemary. The food was quite expensive, on average a pizza cost £18.00. The staff and the service was good, but the ambience felt like grotesque (fake and over the top, too much!) with ceilings and walls full of fake flowers and covered by ceramic dishes. Our clothes smelling of fried food! No we definitely won’t be back!”

“Me and my family arrived at 6.45pm on a Saturday the restaurant only had 3 tables taken up so was reasonably quiet, we took our seats decided what drinks and food we wanted and waited to be served at around 7pm two customers with a dog took a seat outside and the waiter was very attentive and greeted them quickly took their order and even tried to find a seat for them elsewhere. 5 minutes later he returned with their drinks and was outside chatting with them it took nearly 20 minutes in total for him to come over and announce he would come over and take our orders shortly, by which point we got board of waiting and headed down to "friends of flavour' another Italian restaurant which was a little busier but we got served very quickly and felt welcomed straight away.”
