Quick info
About FORNO BRIXTON
Forno Brixton is an independent pizza restaurant in London, set inside a mall at 422 Brixton Rd. The kitchen makes its dough fresh each day and prepares its own tomato sauce. The pizza has a soft Neapolitan base, and the Margherita sits on the menu beside garlic bread. Pizzas can be finished with a herb garlic brush. The same soft dough also goes into the shawarma, so the shop's pizza base carries a second dish, and food is handed out from a window. The shop also runs a loyalty stamp card.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the pizza itself, especially the soft Neapolitan dough and a margherita that one diner calls perfected, finished with a herb garlic brush. Close behind is how affordable everything is, with one reviewer pointing to two pizzas and garlic bread as a bargain, and the garlic bread called "bangin". Several mention the friendly staff, including the person running the service window. The shawarma made on the same dough also gets a mention, and a few note the seating inside the mall for dining in, though most get takeaway. The caveat comes from a few critical reviews. One says the pizzas arrived at roughly nine inches rather than twelve, with extra mozzarella missing and a torn base patched with a slice of pepperoni, and replacements were the same size. Another says the pizza was not Italian and not good. One diner notes an ingredient swap after the kitchen ran out, which they said worked well, and one plans to return with the loyalty stamp card.

“Not an Italian pizza…if you want to fly the Italian flag, you’ve got to meet the standards. Sorry but pizza was not good”

“Went there before going to a concert near by. It was a really good pizza, the best pizza I've had in a while, definitely since I can remember. The chap who runs the window is really nice too. Would definitely go back if I'm near by.”

“This is one of the most underrated pizza places in London for sure. I’ve been coming here for a while now and it is very good quite unique pizza and crazy how affordable it is. Fresh tasty ingredients. Staff are also so welcoming and friendly. Mostly get takeaway but dined in a few times as there’s an option to inside the mall and it’s a good atmosphere. I would highly recommend it’s my go to place for pizza in the area !”

“This is the best pizza I've had in a long time! The crust was perfectly crispy with a nice chew, and the toppings were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings was just right, and it was evident that quality ingredients were used. I'll definitely be back to try more!"”

“It’s a bit out of the way but such a GREAT find- worth every penny. All the food is so cheap but SO delicious and came so quickly! Service so friendly and fun, felt really welcome. The garlic bread was BANGIN and so was the pizza. £14 for 2 pizzas and garlic bread was an amazing deal.”
