Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often return to the coffee, with a barista at the counter drawing repeated praise for friendly, welcoming service and for patiently explaining the menu and the origin of the matcha. The matcha, served without sugar or syrup, stands out for one matcha lover who came five days running, and the same reviewer singles out the sandwiches called The New Yorker and the salmon one. Close behind are the sandwiches, croissants and a Victoria sponge, with the small space described as cozy. Free wifi, plugs and decent seating make it a spot for working during the day. The complaints are more specific. One reviewer says an iced Americano arrived nearly room temperature with only a few ice cubes and tasted dirty, and was charged more than the menu price despite a reusable cup. Another found the flat white milk too hot for the price. One describes a cold atmosphere, with a server who pointed rather than spoke. Another notes gluten free choices were limited to protein balls and the crowd was mostly businessmen talking business. The same reviewer who found the iced coffee poor still said the barista happily brought more ice.

“Milk on flat white was a bit too hot. For this store rating I was expecting a lot better. Paying £5.06 for a flat white (and of this quality) is a bit too excessive.”

“The coffee here is excellent, but contrary to a few reviews, their gluten free offerings are minimal (both times I've been in in the last couple of days, the only gf thing on offer was protein balls), so wanted to write an up to date review so that other gf types wouldn't waste their time and be disappointed! The general feeling of the place is lovely, especially given proximity to st Paul's, but the clientele is almost entirely businessmen talking business, so if that's not your vibe, probably not the one for you!”

“I often come to this café when I’m in London, and I always have a great experience. The sandwiches are delicious, the coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. A special mention to Jun, who is always very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. His excellent service makes every visit even better. Highly recommended!”

“A veeeery nice Victoria sponge cake! Good portion cakes and ok coffee. A bit of a cold atmosphere, both physically and metaphorically. The barista/server hardly looked us in the eye, and used no words if pointing would answer your questions. It seems they were either working the last leg of a long shift, or simply didn't like their job or the people coming to Tattle.”

“Tattle is an absolutely amazing café with an excellent atmosphere, outstanding coffee, and exceptional service. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. A special thank you goes to Jun, who made our coffee and took care of us during our visit. Jun was incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The coffee was prepared perfectly, and the attention to detail was truly impressive. If you’re looking for excellent coffee, amazing service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Tattle is definitely the place to visit. We will certainly be coming back and highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you, Jun, and thank you, Tattle, for such a wonderful experience!”
