About Monmouth Coffee Company
Monmouth Coffee Company is a roaster-forward coffee shop on Park St in London, built around fair-trade sourcing and beans prepared for both café service and home brewing. Much of its character comes from a focus on the coffee program itself, with whole or freshly ground beans bagged to take home alongside gourmet treats served in the café. The signature offer is Coffee Beans, while Cappuccino & Flat White and Filter Coffee anchor the drink side. Mains are listed in a £2 to 4 range, and the menu runs to ten items. The setup supports both seated café use and takeaway, with beans available for customers to brew elsewhere.

Customer Review Summary
Diners consistently single out the coffee itself as the draw, describing it as clean, balanced, full of character and well worth the queue. The flat white and filter coffee come up repeatedly, with one reviewer praising a perfectly balanced flat white and another highlighting the slow, intentional filter brewing done in front of you. Several also recommend the cortado. Coffee beans to take home are a frequent mention, with at least one visitor leaving with four bags. The queue is a recurring trade-off: most say the wait is worth it, though it can triple by late morning and the space feels cramped when heaving. One reviewer notes the shop does not offer takeaway, a drawback if you are in a rush, and another warns visitors not to forget it is closed on Sundays.

“Stopped by Monmouth Coffee while exploring Borough Market and totally understand why so many people recommend it. The coffee was really good, and the whole place had that classic cozy London cafe feel. It was quite busy, but the atmosphere still felt warm and nice. A perfect little coffee break in the middle of the market :)”

“A proper coffee stop in London. Monmouth at Borough Market is one of those places that reminds you how good simple things can be. Watching the filter coffee being brewed right in front of you adds something special slow, intentional, full of aroma, and clearly made with care. I also loved their reusable cup idea, paying around £5 for a proper reusable cup that you can use and return is such a thoughtful touch, especially in a city trying to reduce waste. The coffee itself was excellent: clean, balanced, and memorable. Yes, there’s usually a queue, but now I completely understand why. One small tip for visitors, don’t make the same mistake we did and forget they’re closed on Sundays! Absolutely worth a visit if you’re around Borough Market.”
