  “Amazing service tonight followed by a recommendation of where to go for a walk with me not being from the area. I think the recommendation was from Ewan but I’m not 100% sure. Kudos though as I’ve just witnessed the best sunset of my life in Largs. Thank you so much ☺️”

  “Food was nice, menu and bit limited for me but lovely all same. Booked table and on arrival we were sat by the window, only problem was I had a huge pillar next to me so I was basically sat at a wall. I could've asked to be moved yes but I didn't want that kind of attention. Restaurant wasn't that busy at time so maybe the guy who sat us there could've put a bit more thought into that?! Staff were very attentive, pleasant and friendly....have to give praise to the young guy who took money for our bill at the door. He was so funny, actually had us laughing with all the wee jokes! He's an asset. Would go back but prefer the views at Coast, over the water. Same kind of menu anyway. Lovely place,decor and comfortable. Cakes in the counter looked amazing, you can come in and take these away with you! Fab 👌”

  “Oh, the Boat Yard. A Lochwinnoch institution that with its confused marine decor immediately pulls you into a 2005 Benidorm hotel. The restaurant was full, thus we sat at the lounge, nice seat by the window, arguably the nicest one. The service was lacklustre, It took a while for servers to check in and clear previous tables, they were nice nevertheless, just slow. The food was alright, nothing that special, expected more having paid £14 for a baked potato and £6 for an oat latte. If it wasn’t for our nice seat with a view, I’m not sure what we would’ve been paying for. Others (not sat at this prime hot seat) weren’t as lucky. Overall, not bad, not great either, just - meh.”

  “We had a lovely visit to The Boat Yard in Lochwinnoch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The venue is spacious, clean, and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy the surroundings. The food was very good — classic pub favourites prepared well and served promptly — and everything arrived fresh and nicely presented. Service was friendly and attentive, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. Overall, a pleasant, comfortable place for a meal with great value for money, and we would happily return again.”

  “Just happened to stop off here after a walk at Castle Semple loch. Couldn’t fault it; the service was excellent and the restaurant has been refurbished really well. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend popping in. I had the prawns to start with the fajitas for main and the banana split for dessert all of which were delicious.”

  “What a stunning beautiful place to have breakfast. We visited here today wanting something to eat and arrived during breakfast service. We both ordered the works and boy was it good, in fact it was out of this world. Everything was top quality, fantastic food. The sausages bacon and eggs tasted out of this world the haggis had the most delicious taste I’ve ever had with haggis and the black pudding was perfect. Now I am not a lover of mushrooms but have to say they were really delicious that delicious I eat them all. Every aspect of this food was first class and truly delicious, cooked to perfection and was all eaten. The venue itself was clean beautifully decorated and very tasteful. The washroom was very nice and clean. They had just been cleaned I think as they smelt really good. The staff were polite very friendly and helpful. The car park is massive . A really enjoyable experience.”
