Customer Review Summary

The complaints centre on portions and service lapses. A coconut chicken main arrived as a single small chicken breast, and another diner found the roast portion small with thinly cut beef. One Sunday roast diner was promised bottomless Yorkshire puddings and gravy but received only one pudding, could not catch a server's attention, and got a dismissive apology with no fix once they raised it. A breakfast diner received a large portobello instead of the advertised chestnut mushrooms and had coffee spilled on the saucer without a replacement. The roast diner also found the sticky toffee pudding had run out by mid afternoon.

“It was a great place. I would have given it a 5 star had the main meal portion was slightly larger. The main portion [coconut chicken with rice] was rather small. A single chicken breast albeit with good sauce and good presentation.”

“Lovely restaurant, great service, food was delicious, really nice comfortable ambience, staff very friendly. Place spotlessly, very stylish decoration and lovely outside area too. Will be delighted to eat here again. Also purchased a gift voucher for family member to enjoy for their birthday too.”

“The manager at this restaurant was amazing. We were walk-ins and he recommended we have a drink at the bar and when a table was available he personally came and got us. Nicole was our waitress and she was fantastic! She was very on her game and very attentive to us. The food was delicious. We had a wonderful evening at the coach house. Highly recommend!”

“Disappointing experience all round on our first (and last) visit to The Coach House. Picked this restaurant based on what sounded like a tasty Sunday Roast with “bottomless Yorkshire Puddings and gravy” Sadly, the only Yorkshire pudding either of us had was the single one served on the plate with the meal. Spent the entire time trying to catch the attention of any of the servers to ask for some more but to no avail. By the time a server finally came over we were long finished our meal. I mentioned we had been hoping for more Yorkshire puddings and had been trying to catch anyone’s attention but this was swiftly dismissed by him and a very insincere muttered apology. No offer to rectify in anyway Portion size was very small especially considering how thin the beef is cut. To top it off, they had ran out of sticky toffee pudding (this was around 3pm) Bizarre concept to have ‘bottomless’ items but staff seemingly actively avoid tables that have ordered meals with them in it!”

“Went to the Coach House at the weekend with my family after one of my friends recommending it. Their steak and ale pie was amazing, pure comfort food. All our food was high quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant was 10/10 too. We’ll definitely be returning. Hats off to the staff for the amazing food and welcoming environment👏”
