Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the pasta and pizza, with the half and half pizza and pasta order and the macaroni (including a macaroni cheese club that had it on pizza, chips and garlic bread) named repeatedly. Close behind are the large portions, with the pasta portions called "insane" and a child's portion described as the same quality as an adult meal. The nachos, chicken fajitas, Scottish stack and haggis and black pudding stack with peppercorn sauce also draw praise, along with cocktails, including a daiquiri one diner rated among the best. Staff are widely described as friendly and helpful, and several mention walk-ins squeezed in without a booking. The main complaint comes from one group of five who felt rushed: they were told at booking the table was needed back by 7, the order was not taken until about 45 minutes after seating, and they were reminded to give the table back, only to be offered another round of cocktails once the next booking cancelled. Elsewhere, a family left with a balloon butterfly for their daughter, and a birthday lunch ended with cake and candles.

“Stopped here to eat on a recommendation at a local pub and sure didn't disappoint. Fabulous food, very friendly and helpful staff, especially when they found out we were visiting from Canada. Absolutely will stop by if back in the area. Cheers!”

“Took my family last week without booking (my mistake). The female member of staff on the front desk was absolutely fantastic. She managed to squeezed us in, whilst ran off of her feet. Once in, they couldnt have done enough for us. Every member of staff we encountered was excellent. The food was fantastic (I went for the popular 'half and half' pizza and pasta) and my partner had fajitas. My little girls 'childs' portion was unbelievable value for money and to the same quality as an adults meal. And when we left, the lady at the front sent my daughter off with a balloon butterfly - which she thought was the best thing in the world 🤣. We all left on a massive high. In summary, excellent staff, food and very very well priced. A proper little gem in Paisley and perfect for families. Just remember to book! Thanks guys.”

“Another fab night for the Renfrewshire Macaroni Cheese Club tonight at Jam Jar in Paisley. You all went over and above for us and the macaroni cheese (in all forms) was absolutely delicious! 😋🧀😋🧀 Some of us had it with pizza, some of us had it on chips and some of us had it with garlic bread. We can’t forget to mention the yummy biscoff and mint areo cheesecakes! Thank you so much to everyone at Jam Jar, especially Emily and Gary.”

“Went for lunch on our day trip from Glasgow. A fellow Canadian was our server. Had the nachos, chicken fajitas and the Scottish stack. All were delicious. Everyone we encountered was very friendly, from the girl who seated us, to our server to the owner who boxed up my leftovers. Would highly recommend”
