Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the breakfast sandwiches, with the hash browns and bacon on seeded toast repeatedly praised as sublime, lovely, and massive and crunchy. Close behind are the homemade sausage patties, well seasoned and served in a sausage breakfast sandwich that reviewers call made with care. The Grafter and the personalised BLT also earn explicit mention for their fresh, tasty quality. Several describe the coffee as really good quality and worth a visit on its own. A recurring note is the extensive menu and generous portions, with one reviewer adding that good, fresh food takes time. One diner reports ordering the Jimmy and receiving it without the expected gravy or chimichurri, a disappointment given the menu description. Another highlights the lack of gluten-free bread despite prominent signage about accommodating intolerances, leaving them unable to eat anything. Several mention the friendly service and clean, well-fitted space, and one regrets not bringing their dog after learning pets are welcome.

3 stars as the front of house staff are very friendly. I was hugely encouraged by a large poster in the window saying tell us about your intolerances or if you have Coeliac Disease. Wow ! Sadly, this just seems to be paying lip service to laws, mainly The Food Standards Agency. I could not eat anything as they had no Gluten Free bread. Poor. My daughter was impressed by the menu, it’s extensive. Maybe one day they’ll follow up re if you have Coeliac Disease./intolerances - get some GF bread and put it in the freezer. The chef didn’t even turn around when the staff member asked did they have any ?. I Came away disappointed and hungry.

I’ve used the garage next door for years, but never been in here. I’ve been missing out! A nice welcome as soon as we went in, it’s lovely and clean and very well fitted out. It’s a busy place and good, fresh food takes time, so don’t be jumping up to the till asking where your food is after 5 minutes. The food was really well cooked, great quality and the portions are extremely generous. The coffee is really good quality too and worth a visit just for that. The service was very friendly, nothing any bother, and made for a really pleasant start to the day. Any regrets? Yes, just the one. I didn’t realise my dog would have been welcomed, so I left him at home. He wasn’t happy.

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
