Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the Caesar salad, one praising tender chicken with crispy skin, bacon, croutons and anchovies, another the little Caesar from the small social plates menu. Close behind are the chicken skewer with braised rice, the pork pie, the chunky chips and a Sunday roast with a good mix of vegetables. Others mention tapas, rustic pizza, a breakfast with excellent coffee, and a Long Island one reviewer calls the best they have had. Friendly, warm service comes up repeatedly, and several like the open kitchen and the outdoor seating. The caveats are portion size and range. One group found the fish and chips and the pie on the tasting menu smaller than expected, though they were full in the end, and another reviewer calls the menu not especially varied and not the cheapest. One suggests booking because it is already popular. One diner seated beside the open kitchen enjoyed watching the chefs plate each dish with attention to detail.

“5 stars all round for this lovely restaurant bar! We visited last weekend and sampled their new small social plates menu and each and every dish was well thought out, beautifully presented and served with a smile. Indoor and outdoor door seating, which makes it the perfect place to enjoy some food and cocktails! I'd highly recommend trying the little Caesar salad, pork pie and the chunky chips!”

“We were sat near the open kitchen which normally I would avoid but it was a pleasure to see the chefs work with such attention to detail in preparing and presenting each dish. Both starter and mains were superb and the service was friendly and professional. We will not hesitate to return and sample one of the other dishes we saw come out of the kitchen.”
