Quick info
About Park Fisheries
Park Fisheries is a fish and chips takeaway at 235 Beeston Rd in Leeds, and the same family has owned and run it for 24 years. Fish and chips are the focus of the shop, and the fish is cooked in beef dripping. Owning the shop for that long means the family has kept the same frying approach in place from the start. The shop opens Tuesday to Saturday and closes on Sundays and Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the fish and chips themselves, with the haddock singled out as very fresh and cooked in beef dripping, and the batter described as light. Chips are called super crispy, and a few reviewers rank the fish above Whitby and Cornish versions or call it the best in Leeds and Yorkshire. Curry sauce and mushy peas come close behind, described as brilliant, and the sit-outside benches get a mention on sunny days. A couple of reviewers point to huge portions, with a big fish and lots of chips, and one calls the shop spotless. The sharpest dissent comes from one reviewer who bought a children's meal and found the portion tiny, the chips raw in the middle with burnt edges, and the sausage a halved adult sausage with burnt edges. That reviewer also called the owners arrogant, while others describe them as lovely and the service as friendly. One large order of fish and chips for 43 people was completed on time, with every portion described as fantastic quality.

“Visited here as an away fan prior to the football. Usually you don't expect much from takeaways local to a football ground prior to kick off, but this was some of the best fish and chips I've had and gives Cornish fish & chips a run for its money.”

“The polite lady even let me put salt and vinegar on the chips before she laid the haddock on top of them . The haddock was very fresh and cooked to perfection using beef dripping heated to the correct temperature . Best fish and chips I’ve had for a long while even better the the ones in Whitby .”

“Used to in quite a lot in recent years but I called in last night. Straight up Fish n Chips, curry sauce with mine. Really enjoyed them. Nice fish and light batter. Support local businesses!”
