About Bramley Fisheries
Bramley Fisheries is a fish and chips takeaway in Leeds, at 46 Bramley Center. The menu centres on large-portion fish and chips, with fish bites, which are battered fish pieces, as another way to order the fish. Scraps, the crispy battered bits, come in a bag as a side. Curry sauce in the traditional chip shop style goes with the chips. Orders are placed at the counter, where the team takes walk-in customers, and the team also takes orders by phone. The shop opens on Sundays too.

Customer Review Summary
Fish is the main draw for most reviewers, who describe it as chunky and flaky under a golden batter, in portions they call massive or very impressive. A large fish, fish bites, scampi and a huge bag of crispy scraps come up most, with traditional chip shop curry sauce, a fish cake and children's sausages also getting praise. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and chatty, and one reviewer adds that the food arrived hot. Two reviewers report a very different visit. One says the order came out wrong, that staff claimed it was never placed and offered to check the cameras, and that they refused to put it right. Both describe greasy fish, and the other adds rubbery batter, dry fish that seemed to have sat under a heat lamp, and a regular fish no bigger than the small. Among the happier accounts, one diner notes that a member of staff brought seating outside for them and their dad.

“Well, we are absolutely pogged and we've found a marvellous new 'go to' chippy!! 🐟🍟 It even opens until 8pm on a Sunday!! 😲👍 My Hubby ordered a large fish and it was bloody massive!! I ordered the fish bites and you got 5 portions of battered fish each about 5" long, I was gobsmacked at the amount you got!! We ordered a portion of scampi to try and a portion of chips and peas to share!! Greedy buggas, lol!! 🐷🐷 We asked if we could have a few scraps and we got a huge bag full of these crispy, crunchy and light, golden beauties!! 😋😁 The lady behind the counter was absolutely lovely, making friendly chit-chat with every customer, whilst cheerfully and diligently busying away getting food served, packed and getting phone orders ready too.........and in this heat, phew!! 🥵🔥 The staff deserve a medal!! 🎖🎖 We got home and laughed at the amount we'd ordered, we could've fed a family quite easily!! Everything was absolutely delicious and nice and hot too!! Bramley Fisheries, we will be back!! ✨️👌”

“Waste of money Terrible first experience. I ordered a small and a regular fish and chips, but the regular fish wasn't any larger at all. It was just a thinner, slightly longer piece of the same poor quality. The entire meal was disgustingly grease and dripping with old oil. It was awful. You could instantly tell the fish had been sitting out sweating under a heat lamp for hours. The batter was rubbery and fish inside was dry, and the whole thing was completely inedible. Avoid this place at all costs! I'll actively advising people to avoid this place when it comes to fish and chips in leeds.”

“I came here with my dad and had a large fish, curry sauce and scraps. We finished every bit of it. Beautiful chunky flaky fish and a perfect rich golden batter. Curry sauce traditional chip shop style was bang on. Wonderful friendly staff, she even brought some seating outside for our convenience. What a lovely shop, 10 out of 10 from us ❤️”
