Customer Review Summary
Regular customers, some of twenty years' standing, describe food that arrives hot and on time, cooked spot on, with generous portions and plenty of meat in the meat dishes. Close behind come polite, friendly staff and a smiling delivery driver, and one reviewer's off menu vegetarian order was fixed right away after a mixup. The complaints are pointed and nearly as frequent. Several reviewers say the salt and pepper chicken did not taste like chicken, and two say the chips seemed cooked about five times over until chewy. Others report a special chow mien with frozen prawns and long black hairs in the noodles, cold, fatty crispy duck on limp lettuce, and a curry that did not taste like curry. One caller who complained says they were told they should have checked the food before leaving. A regular also says the phone is engaged late in the evening, well before closing, so they order elsewhere. One phone customer who avoided delivery apps was given free chips and cookies as a thank you.

“Food and price good, staff lovely and friendly, but shocking how they randomly stop taking telephone orders when there meant to stay open till 11pm, phoned several occasions now between 8:30/9 pm and phone engaged, we use regular and when asked face to face in shop if they had changed numbers they stated …. after 9pm start sending staff home , presume this is why they don’t take telephone orders and only want face to face orders, you would of thought all orders would be greatly appreciated. It’s a shame as we then have to order else where”

“Terrible crispy duck ! All fat and cold, on a bed of lettuce that was warm and limp. The mushroom and prawn sauce was disgusting. I will never go there again .”
